JOB SCOPE

The Interactive Video Operations (IVO) Tier 4 team specializes in streaming interactive and session-based video content to a base of 18 million customers, fulfilling billions of Video on Demand (VOD) and Switched Digital Video (SDV) sessions each year. Being a member of our team means you work with the best session-based video experts in the company and industry. We are responsible for daily maintenance and operational tasks required to deliver best quality video experiences to our customers all the time.
Our team is interested in candidates with a positive, professional attitude and are eager to lead teams of highly skilled technical engineers that apply cutting-edge technologies to solve problems. The IVO Tier 4 Manager is a front-line operations position leading 6-10 System Engineers and focuses daily on establishing a positive team culture, developing employee personal growth opportunities, ensuring accurate execution of team processes, accurate documentation and effective communication. All of these are keys to success.
We strongly believe in developing employee skillsets that are needed for career progression. This includes your career development. We'll provide training and mentoring opportunities day 1. Regular One-one meetings will begin immediately to ensure open lines of communication. Participation in formal Leadership and technical training are available, paid for and encouraged. Regular opportunities to present performance status and lead troubleshooting sessions provide executive exposure that is important for career advancement. There are many opportunities for continuous learning and applying those skillsets. A measure of your success is our success!
Regular office business hours are Monday through Friday, 8AM to 5PM. There are occasions when off-hours work is required to restore customer impacting events. We strive to ensure employees are able to strike a positive work / life balance in a demanding operational environment. Our team has deployed a hybrid work model that allows for 2 works from home days per week.
DUTIES AND RESPONSBILITIES

  • Performance Management
  • One-One / Coaching / Provides feedback

  • Develop, deploy and track standard team processes
  • Foster teamwork and positive culture
  • Handles pressure
  • Active surveillance of system performance tools, driving engineers to engage proactively and mitigate any impacting events
  • Lead restoration of customer impacting events
  • Manage teams of engineers with differing skillsets
  • Effective communication and presentation skills

BASIC / MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field, and/or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of three (3) years' supervisory and/or management experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Positive, professional attitude and a demonstrated desire and aptitude to continuously develop leadership skillsets
  • Basic understanding and working experience with some or all of the Microsoft Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio, etc...)
  • Working experience with session-based video technologies in an operations environment
  • Previous leadership experience
  • Working experience in developing, reading and executing standard process flowcharts
  • Understanding and / or working experience with data analysis

The pay for this position has a salary range of $96,100.00 to $170,500.00. The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience and location. Also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation such as bonuses.
