Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Analyzing data related to transportation or supply chain activities to identify operational improvement opportunities, cost savings initiatives, efficiency enhancements, and other business benefits
- Performing transportation and supply chain network analysis and modeling to recommend improvements in cost and performance across the network
- Is the primary resource for transportation data reporting and analytics.
- Developing and maintaining reporting and business intelligence data analytics for the Transportation organization
- Creating, maintaining, and managing carrier rates, contracts, or other related activities.
- Preparing reports and other presentation materials as required by department leadership. Collaborating with other functional areas touching Transportation functions to facilitate reporting or other projects as needed.
- Proactively identifying and communicating trends, changes in transportation activity, or other logistics related factors that may impact operations, cost or service.
- Audit data accuracy in freight invoices, and initiate projects to improve the data integrity with the third party payables company and carriers.
Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree in supply chain or related field required, graduate degree preferred
- Two to four year’s related experience.
- Knowledge of and experience with big data analysis, tools and systems a must.
- Advanced Excel and Access skills to support supply chain and transportation analytics and reporting
- Possess strong organizational written, presentation, and verbal communication skills. Presentation skills preferred.
- Strong customer service, interpersonal, and influencing skills
- Self-starter with the ability to complete moderate to complex tasks with minimal supervision
