People Operations Manager
Kapost is the market leader in B2B Content Marketing Software. We have been growing at +40% a year, have raised north of $20M in funding, and are a team of 80 employees. We serve fast-growing mid-market customers and global enterprise customers such as GE, IBM, HP, Thomson Reuters, FedEx, Exxon, Allstate and Merck.
What you will do
The People Operations Manager is a human resources generalist and is directly responsible for the overall administration, coordination and evaluation of the human resource function including recruiting of new employees. This position must possess considerable skill in interviewing techniques, a good knowledge of the company’s organizational structure
as well as knowledge of personnel policy and procedure and federal and state laws regarding employment practices. Specific duties include:
- Handle all recruitment from job posting through offers, including reference and background checks
- Develop HR policies and procedures
- Help to coordinate and deliver employee communication
- Coach and develop managers on employee relations issues
- Write and maintain job descriptions
- Maintain personnel files
- Develop training program and deliver employee trainings
- Help coordinate benefits with third party vendor, including communicating employment changes
- Investigate and document employee concerns and performance management issues and advise on appropriate corrective actions
- Develop, manage and provide support to business leaders during employee performance/appraisal cycle.
- Develop and maintain compensation program and participate in appropriate surveys
- Reviews and evaluates disciplinary actions to include written warnings, suspensions and dismissals, etc. to ensure consistent application of company policies and applicable laws
- Conduct exit interviews on all voluntary terminations
- Facilitates all termination paperwork and communication

- Bachelor’s degree desired
- HR Certification strongly preferred
- 3+ years of relevant experience
- Experience with recruiting and interview techniques
- Experience with various HR functions
- Previous management experience a plus
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to an always changing, fun startup culture
