IT Support
Gusto is looking for someone to delight in empowering colleagues to work and collaborate effectively through their technology. You will be the person everyone knows they can turn to for prompt support when they have a problem with their computer, internet, telephone, printer, VPN, etc. You should have a passion for fixing problems and constantly seek efficient and elegant solutions to big and little problems. To excel in this role, it’s helpful to have a solid understanding of office cabling/networking, ISPs, routers/switches, VOIP phone systems, OS X (we all use Macs here), VPN, DNS, DHCP, LDAP and Google Apps. You will be expected to assess the IT situation in the office and proactively work to solve deficiencies and inefficiencies.
Here’s what you’ll do day-to-day:
- Troubleshoot network connectivity in a LAN/WAN environment, including managing our ISP relationships, setup and configuration across a broad range of IT services, administer firewalls, manage network TCP/IP, DHCP, VPN and DNS
- Install, upgrade, and support all company desktops/laptops, printers, network hardware and other infrastructure hardware (primarily in an Apple environment)
- Administer cloud services e.g. Google Apps such as Mail, Calendars, Groups, etc
- Manage physical office technical infrastructure to include cabling, routers, servers, switches, printers, etc
- Develop and manage a fluid and well-organized inventory and storage system for all IT hardware
- Manage relationships and coordination efforts with external technology suppliers
- Manage and troubleshoot our VOIP telephone system
- Ensure users follow company security policies at desktop level
- Set up, track, and manage all issues in a ticketing system
- Vet software and hardware purchase requests
- Track end-user software licenses
- Make sure that all client machines meet standards for security protocols
- Prepare documentation about outages and restoration of service
- Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs

Bonus points:
- 2+ years of IT support or relevant desktop support experience preferred
- Passion for computers and web technologies
- Familiarity with TCP/IP networking required
