Job Summary

The future is bright for the Porch Group, and we’d love for you to be a part of it as the Head of Operations for the Rynoh business. As part of the Rynoh business, the Head of Product is responsible for leading the charge to help revolutionize how we provide services to our clients. Our software is used to protect nearly 40% of real estate transactions in the United States, an unprecedented achievement. Our ambitious plans require us to continue our journey of being the best service provider in the industry. We are seeking a highly motivated, highly organized professional to join our team.  The ideal candidate will have a mix of interpersonal, technical, and managerial skills to help us implement complex solutions for our clients.  

What You Will Do As the Head of Product

The Head of Product is a critical member of the leadership team responsible for driving a focused and methodical process to ideate and implement great solutions for our clients.   This high impact role works with existing clients, partners, and industry participants to develop documented visions and plans and then works with the engineering team to build and deploy solutions that add value for our clients.   This position requires a dynamic and experienced product leader with a strong background in SaaS based software design and implementation.   The role also requires real estate title and escrow expertise and a fundamental understanding of the escrow disbursement process.  

Responsibilities

  • Deliver impact and results by defining success metrics, analyzing data for insights, prioritizing what to build, and coordinating with teams to align efforts and business strategies. 
  • Work with clients and other stakeholders to develop and implement a comprehensive three-year product strategy that unlocks customer satisfaction and business growth.  
  • Create alignment among all stakeholders to drive the product strategy forward. 
  • Proactively conduct market research and competitive analysis. 
  • Identify product gaps and document strategic ideas and areas for product differentiation. 
  • Create and maintain an actionable product roadmap that prioritizes features and improvements based on customer needs and market demands. 
  • Continuously improve the product features and user experiences. 
  • Collaborate with sales, engineering, and client success teams to incorporate client feedback into the product.   
  • Conduct workshops with internal team members to glean improvement concepts from all levels of the organization. 
  • Be the voice of the customer by translating their needs into product requirements. 
  • Leverage the agile framework to write epics and user stories that can be understood by software engineers.  
  • Communicate and articulate the ‘why’ and the ‘what’ customer problems to solve working with others and balancing alternate points of view. 
  • Work closely with sales and marketing teams to effectively communicate and promote the release of new features and modules.  
  • Work to drive adoption and implementation throughout the customer base. 
  • Participate in industry trade groups and conferences to understand trends and issues affecting our clients.  
  • Be a thought leader and an industry resource. 
  • Participate in client presentations as needed to help explain detailed nuances of the existing product experiences.

What You Will Bring As the Head of Product 


  • Bachelor's degree in business, information technology, engineering or a related field; MBA or advanced degree a plus. 
  • At least 8 years’ experience designing and delivering world-class platform products that solve big customer pain points.  
  • At least 3 years’ experience managing real estate disbursement and account reconciliation processes. 
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and influence cross functional teams of 5-7 team members.    
  • At least 3 years’ experience leading product design and implementation involving real estate or banking transactions.
  • Proven track record of setting timelines and driving team member performance and accountability
  • Key leader of innovation and product acceleration with great collaboration and organization skills.   
  • Understanding of how products go from ideation to completion through the full software development lifecycle. 
  • Self-sufficient, self-starter. 
  • Very inquisitive with the ability to dive deeply into the features and functionalities of the software suite without the benefit of detailed procedures.  
  • Take a test-and-learn approach to problem solving. 
  • Experience building platform solutions for SaaS technology companies having deep technical understanding along with customer empathy and strong execution capabilities.    
  • Intimately familiar with modern software development practices used to build and deploy software applications. 
  • Understanding of escrow account audits and compliance requirements preferred.   
  • Demonstrated ability to foster collaboration through documentation and through written and oral communication.  
  • Effectively use meetings to set clear direction and eliminate rework associated with insufficient product specifications. 
  • Proven track record of bringing FinTech or PropTech solutions to market. 
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. 
  • Ability to present product designs and roadmaps to senior leaders.  
  • Proficiency with writing long-term product plans as well as delivering concise presentations. 
  • Proficiency with product management tools such as Jira, Miro, or Asana. 
  • Understanding of escrow account audits and compliance requirements preferred.

What You Will Get As A Porch Group Team Member 

Pay Range*: $134,300 - $196,900 

*Please know your actual pay at Porch will reflect a number of factors among which are your work experience and skillsets, job-related knowledge, alignment with market and our Porch employees, as well as your geographic location.  
 
Additionally, you will be eligible to receive long-term incentive awards, subject to program guidelines and approvals.
