Craftsy is looking for a Director of Supply Chain within our fast growing eCommerce business! Our Director of Supply Chain will develop and implement strategies, programs and tactics that optimize the flow of products to the fulfillment network and on to the customer in support of Craftsy’s eCommerce initiatives. The ideal candidate will continuously improve the processes and cost structures of the fulfillment and transportation network with a focus on cost, service, time, and quality. We’re looking for someone who will effectively manage the operational relationships with product suppliers, transportation providers, and fulfillment centers, as well as coordinate interactions between the supply chain team and all internal business partners. This Director will lead analysis and reporting in order to make sound recommendations on various segments of our business. These segments include: fulfillment, inventory management, domestic and international inbound and outbound transportation, import and domestic compliance, and vendor relations. The position requires someone who is confident, “hands-on” and capable of executing details in a timely manner.
 
As our Director of Supply Chain, you will:
  • Own the relationship with our third party logistics provider.  Develop strong relationships with management and operational partners at our 3PL(s) to ensure the highest level of performance in areas including -  maintaining required goals of on time shipping, order fill rate, outbound quality and accuracy, inventory control, inventory  availability, and inbound / outbound forecasting.  Conduct regular reviews of KPIs and work with 3PL(s) on action plans when KPIs are not met.  Oversee financial budgeting, cyclical RFPs for services and monthly reporting
  • Direct eCommerce transportation strategies to ensure that operations are effective while maintaining the lowest cost of transportation at the highest possible service level.  Oversee financial budgeting, cyclical RFPs for services and monthly reporting
  • Develop, implement, and operate a future state supply chain operating model. This may include multiple fulfillment centers, bringing fulfillment in-house, launching a drop-ship program, or a combination of the aforementioned
  • Monitor and enforce vendor compliance of external partners (i.e. 3PL contracts, suppliers, transportation providers, etc).  Build and maintain vendor scorecards that include business specific KPI’s that will minimize our exposure and maximize our efficiency
  • Strategically lead critical projects that bring exceptional value to the company through total cost reduction, optimizing key supplier relationships, exploring supplier consolidation, conducting cost/benefit financial analysis, and ensuring supplier quality management
  • Create a supportive, engaging, and challenging environment for eCommerce Supply Chain team members.  Provide development and leadership through challenging and fulfilling assignments.  Be a role model for the Company
  • Ensure operational objectives are communicated to cross-functional business partners and external partners to raise awareness of business performance, issues and outcomes
  • Manage and develop a high performing team
Your background and experience likely include, but are not limited to:
  • 10+ years of supply chain experience
  • B.S./B.A. degree in Business, Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain Management or equivalent experience is required.  MBA or graduate degree in Statistics, Math, or Finance preferred
  • Understanding of domestic and international government regulations that impact the strategic and tactical operations of the purchasing, importation, and supplier management
  • Warehouse and / or 3PL operational management experience highly preferred
  • Experience implementing and managing ERP, WMS, OMS, and other related supply chain systems
  • Deep understanding of retail and e-commerce industry 
  • Excellent negotiation skills - knowledge and experience implementing long term agreements and sub-contract agreements
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strategic working relationships
  • Expert in MS-Excel and MS-PowerPoint, proficiency in SQL is preferred, and working knowledge of Netsuite
  • Outstanding written, verbal and presentation skills  
  • Strong follow-through skills and acute attention to detail
