Guild is looking for a Director of Admissions who will directly impact our ability to achieve growth goals while maintaining a focus on our unique mission to empower working adults and frontline employees as they pursue educational opportunities.

As our Director of Admissions, you will:

  • Foster a culture of excellence and flexibility - build out a world-class organization that operates as high level of productivity, urgency and efficiency, and is able to incorporate new academic offerings and admissions strategies rapidly to deliver on ambitious growth goals
  • Manage and elevate team performance - by working with Rachel and Katie to develop effective group and individual training on admissions best practices, financial aid and other relevant topics, and motivate team through effective tactics and accountability.
  • Be our funnel expert - you’ll be on call for any and every number or status update and will be asked to continually make decisions with data as the foundation for your insights and recommendations.
  • Optimize the admissions funnel - identify issues, propose solutions and measure the impact of changes by operationalizing new approaches to improve outcomes that drive the success of our business.
  • Build a team for growth - partner with Guild leadership to strategically plan for long-term admissions and enrollment team success by architecting a plan to scale the team as our business grows, while retaining top performers through innovative career pathing.
  • Work cross-functionally with a leadership POV - Ensure diverse operational projects (university cohorts, new products/degree programs), growth initiatives (engaging new segments), and team specific priorities (improving the student enrollment process) are successful.

We’ll prioritize the following experience and attributes as we evaluate candidates throughout the hiring process:

  • Passion for higher education and our mission - Guild is pioneering a new path for education as a benefit in a complicated and regulated space - success means quickly learning the landscape and effectively adapting your expertise
  • Demonstrated leadership in a data-driven sales or admissions environment guiding teams through fast growth and frequent change while still achieving or exceeding aggressive goals
  • Proven ability to scale and manage high-performing teams through effective recruiting, development and retention tactics
  • Expertise in the use of Salesforce to improve funnel conversion, set goals and manage team performance
  • Experience evaluating tools and technology and/or implementing new processes to maximize team productivity and efficiency
  • Ability to develop strong relationships and communicate effectively while under pressure - balancing confidence, humility and diplomacy internally and externally
