GoSpotCheck, a mobile data collection company that helps enable real-time intelligence from teams, has been rocking and rolling (specifically to the Top Gun soundtrack, because who hasn’t) since 2011. Once all of the data is collected, they provide real-time analytics and reporting for their users. Now around 70 employees, they are continually looking to grow and expand their already great team.
GSC are veterans of CoStartupBrews and have been around since the inception. This year they have prepared two delicious brews for us to sample. The first, Series B.londe, is a Belgian Blonde with a rye malt backbone. Utilizing one of their favorite yeast strains, it comes along with a signature peppery taste. Weighing in at a nice 5.5% ABV with 18.3 IBUs – this should be a great beer for the late summer.
The second is their Set Sail Ale. Based on an American Pale Ale (APA), the beer uses a pale malt base and was hopped using only Columbus hops. They also cleverly added a touch of clover honey to impart some sweetness. The Set Sail Ale finished with a 1.013 FG, 43 IBUs, and comes in at 5.6% ABV.
With a collective 10 years of brewing under their belts, this team is the one to beat as they have placed in all 3 years of the competition. Should they win again this year, they are going to flaunt the coveted tap handle on their brand-new kegerator (2/2 in their office).
