Longmont-based Circle Graphics, already the largest grand-format graphics producer in the world, has now acquired the Boston-based Mammoth Media. This will give Circle more pull on the East Coast and access to Mammoth's clientele in the transit sector.

“This purchase is a strategic move to continue the significant growth that Circle Graphics has experienced in the out-of-home advertising industry,” said Andrew Cousin, Circle's CEO, in a statement. “As a company with a great reputation, high standards and a customer focus, Mammoth Media is a perfect complement to the Circle Graphics portfolio.”

Since 2000, Circle has firmly established itself in outdoor advertising and has done big business with photographers and artists as well. This acquisition suggests a company in search of new challenges to tackle.

[ibimage==30151==Medium==none==self==ibimage_align-right]Circle also has operations in Los Angeles, New York, Texas, and Louisiana. It is now growing on several fronts, including beefing up its online ordering and analytics. Seeing much potential in transit and desiring to work with Mammoth and its clients and absorb its culture, Circle is adding all current Mammoth employees to its team.

The acquisition opens new horizons for Mammoth as well, said CEO Mark Rowell. “Mammoth Media’s desire to access more national clients was a huge driver in this decision. The strength of Circle Graphics experience in outdoor billboards mixed with our experience in transit creates an ideal combination. We are not only excited about the opportunity to grow together, but also the opportunity this provides for our clients to grow in new marketplaces.”

The new combined entity will serve over 12,000 customers across America.
