New kids on the block: 7 companies that just launched services in Denver

From growing startups to established enterprises, new businesses are eager to get in on the Colorado tech action. As companies grow and expand, they’re setting their sights on places like Denver and Boulder for new offices.

Check out these seven businesses that are brand new to the Colorado tech scene.

Bevi launched in 2013 with the mission to reduce waste and change the way beverages are distributed and consumed with interactive, “smart” water machines. The company is headquartered in Boston, MA, but the closing of a $16.5 million Series B funding has enabled them to expand into new markets.

Bevi announced its launch into Denver last week, and already they’ve partnered with Thrive Workplace to set up a demo machine to dispense still and sparkling flavored waters in the company’s downtown coworking space.

San Francisco-based Switchfly provides a white labeled e-commerce platform for hotels, airlines and travel companies. On Tuesday, it was reported that the company set up shop in WeWork’s Union Station coworking space. The tech company plans to hire 16 Denver employees and move into a private office space next year.

revzi-team.jpg

Founded in Chicago in 2014, Revzi is part content marketing agency and part SaaS company. The startup created an analytics platform for restaurants that allows users to optimize the operations of their business by better understanding their customers.

The company rebranded in June, expanding their offerings to include marketing consultation services. They’re preparing to open a second office in Denver’s RiNo district in September, followed by another office in Orange County, CA later this year.

rednova.jpg

Hailing from Kansas City, MO, Red Nova Labs builds websites and develops cloud software for the self-storage industry. The company was founded in 2009, and despite being a niche business, has grown to serve over 3,000 customers worldwide. They recently expanded to Denver, where they hope to tap into the local talent pool and grow the dev and engineering team.

sifted.jpg

Catered lunches have become a common perk among tech startups. Sifted was founded with the goal of making those lunches simple, fresh and — like any good tech company — data-driven.

They collect dietary restrictions from the team, and businesses are provided a dedicated host who hangs out through lunch to lay out the meal and answer questions about the week’s menu. They launched in Denver in May and are already serving over 1,000 lunches per week to local clients like Artifact Uprising, Cloud Elements and Massroots.

tapingo.jpg

Tapingo built a mobile app that caters to the busy life of a college student. The company partners with businesses, universities and campuses to bring on-demand delivery to students through a network of ambassadors and couriers. In the last five years, this Tel Aviv-based startup has raised $36 million in capital, and now they’re preparing to build an office in the Mile High City.

SmartAcre.jpg

SmartAcre is a demand generation and marketing automation agency that works with software and tech companies throughout the United States. The company has offices in Bethlehem, PA and New York City, and in May, they opened a third office in Downtown Denver to be closer to clients out West. SmartAcre plans to hire new marketing teams to grow and serve its customer base.
