Halloween is just a couple of days away. Chances are, your work party is Friday or Monday — and Colorado tech companies don't mess around when it comes to celebrating Halloween. So, what are you to do if you don’t have a costume yet? Don’t worry, we’re procrastinators too.
Here are seven super-easy, do-it-yourself, tech-inspired Halloween costumes you can put together from stuff you probably already own.
Be Steve Jobs
Luckily, Steve Jobs’ trademark outfit is pretty easy to replicate on the fly. All you need is a black turtleneck, a pair of mom or dad's jeans and some sneakers. You get bonus points if you can find Where’s Waldo-inspired rimless, round glasses. Or, you can just get them overnighted from Amazon.
Be Minecraft Steve
Want to look like the world’s most famous, and lucrative blockhead? Print this image out and glue it to the sides of a box. Don’t forget to cut out a place for your head and eyes, and you’re good to go.
Be a 404 Error Message
Everyone hates an error message, but maybe you’ll get a pass. Throw on a white t-shirt, grab yourself a black permanent marker and write ‘404 - COSTUME NOT FOUND’. Doesn’t get any easier than that.
Be an App
Stop into Whole Foods and get a plate of appetizers. Carry it around at your Halloween party and, behold, you’re an App. And yes, that makes Whole Foods the App Store.
Be a Phishing Scam
Frankly, this one is brilliant. Get a fishing pole (or a stick with a string) and put an envelope on the end. When you meet people, tell them that you’re a prince with some liquidity issues.
Be a Snapchat Ghost
Remember the days when you could throw a white sheet over your head and be a ghost? Same principle still applies, only now you can call yourself Snapchat.
Be Facebook or Bookface
This is a ripped off from an episode of The Office, but that doesn't mean it's not great. Get a marker — preferably the nonpermanent type — and write ‘BOOK’ on your face. After that, it’s as simple as hoping people don’t mistake you for a Book Face.
