Job Duties and Responsibilities
The Distribution Supervisor manages, leads, and coordinates warehouse staff to deliver extraordinary results. Functional responsibilities may include, but are not limited to receiving, packing, cycle counting, and shipping DISH inventory to support organizational goals and objectives. Safety compliance, quality awareness, process efficiency, and employee satisfaction are key performance metrics. Duties are accomplished personally or through subordinate supervisory staff.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Spends at least 50% of the time supervising a minimum of 5 workers in distribution including production, receiving, and shipping for a designated shift
  • Conducts regular employee feedback sessions, (1 on 1) to support employee development
  • Provides input to managers to support annual PA process
  • Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the warehouse
  • Responsible for interviewing, hiring, and training employee; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving employee conflicts
  • Ensures proper execution of all policies and procedures with regard to picking, packing, shipping, and receiving
  • Works effectively with internal and external customers to identify needs, meet or exceed expectations, and implement change as necessary to be # 1 in customer satisfaction
  • Ensures that safety, quality, and production guidelines are consistently adhered to
  • Ensures clear and consistent administration of organizational policies and procedures. Positively represents the organization and supports company decisions
  • Works effectively with other functional areas to execute daily distribution goals and objectives
  • Provides clear and accurate communication to direct reports, peers, and upper management to provide direction, share information, and achieve results
  • Supports a work environment that encourages collaboration and delivers results


Skills, Experience and Requirements
Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university, and 3 years of related experience;, including 2 years supervisory/management experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience


Skills:

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization
  • Requires intermediate computer expertise, including use of database, word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation applications
  • Strong organizational, written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  • Ability to perform basic computations and to draw and interpret bar graphs
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations


Salary Ranges
Compensation: $71,000.00/Year - $81,875.00/Year

The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location. Candidates need to successfully complete a pre-employment screen, which may include a drug test and DMV check.
