As a Software Engineer in the Infrastructure team at Whatnot, you will be responsible for building and scaling the live streaming and marketplace service. This role involves ensuring the availability, performance, security, and scalability of production systems, working on deployment across different environments, and scaling for high-volume events.

Discovery engineers at Whatnot are responsible for building the best user experience for finding and engaging with the most relevant content on the platform. They focus on taxonomy, browse experience, search and recommendations algorithms, as well as content understanding. The role requires 4+ years of software engineering experience, knowledge of at least 3 programming languages, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work across the stack (backend and frontend).

Apply comprehensive knowledge of Incident Response concepts, collaborate with Information Security partners, drive cyber incidents escalation, identify detection opportunities, maintain awareness of threat landscape, provide IR support, conduct forensic investigations, document incidents, investigate cyber security issues, and improve incident response processes.
