About This Workshop
HTML and CSS are the fundamental building blocks of the web. Whether you're a beginner who wants to get started in web development, a designer looking to hand-code their concepts, or a marketer who wants a little more control over their CMS, you'll need to know HTML and CSS to get the job done.

This one day workshop is the quickest way to get started building websites. You will dive head first into HTML and CSS, skill up with live coding exercises, and by the end of the day you'll have a working web page to call your own.

Preparation
This workshop is for beginners.
This course will occur completely online using Zoom and Slack
You will need access to a laptop or computer with a working webcam and microphone as well as a strong internet connection
Pre-work and course set up information will be emailed to all students signed up around 24 hours before (and again an hour before) your course launches
Students will be asked to download Atom.
Each individual course participant must have purchased a ticket

Eric is a full stack software engineer for Vistaprint, formerly a principal front-end engineer for the Advisory Board Company, and freelances as a designer/developer at http://www.synbydesign.com. Additionally, Eric has built mobile applications and recently co-authored the book Mastering React Native. He has taught front-end topics for General Assembly in Washington, D.C. and was a technical reviewer for Mastering ReactJS, an instructional video by Packt Publishing.
