Meet, Battington Lashes, a socially conscious beauty e-tailer, founded by Sirine Swed in Denver, Colorado.  Many start-ups on the Denver scene are 'pre-revenue', aka, no sales, with funding.  Battington is quite the contrary.  Swed has bootstrapped her start-up and is self funded.  Monthly sales in six months have grown 500% with the growth path continuing.  She hasn't been garnering much attention in the technology driven Denver start-up scene.  But, if you look at much larger cities who have an appreciation for a well run company generating sales, Swed & Battington Lashes are fitting right in. 

In just six months since products first launched, Battington Lashes is carried in 15 different states, over 40 different stores, including national chain Anthropologie.  Battington has been mentioned in Vogue Magazine (London), Essence, and Denver Style, along with many high volume beauty blogs.  Further, they have been actively filming spots for top tier TV markets, such as New York, and their local beauty segments. 

When measuring succesful start ups, Denver and other areas take notice, Battington Lashes is a start up e-tailer that solved a problem many start ups miss, sales.  Swed commented when asked 'Tech start ups get most of the focus of the media, but there are real businesses out there being built for the long run that play in other spaces, and we are excited about Battington's growth and continuing to make a name for itself'.
