Real-time digital marketing software company Wayin recently announced that it secured $15.4 million in new funding from influential investors in the technology community.

The funding will play a major role in helping the company continue to expand its capabilities and scale for additional growth. Specifically, the new investment will be used to fund growth in the domestic and international Sales force, as well as the Engineering department, increasing creative talent headcount for Wayin Studio services and further international expansion.

Seven sales and engineering positions are currently open, and new marketing positions are expected to be added in the coming months.

The funding announcement comes on the heels of co-founder and Chairman Scott McNealy taking a more active role in the company to help it scale for growth. Scott’s previous experience in leading aggressive expansion of technology companies and his proven leadership track record at Sun Microsystems has been a leading factor in propelling the company into its next stage of growth. Wayin has consistently grown year-over-year sales by 250 percent over the past two years and recently announced several partnerships with major companies such as Klout and IBM Watson.

Wayin has also been making an impact at Denver Startup Week. The Denver Office of Economic Development recognized Wayin as one of five “Gazelles” — an honor bestowed on the best and brightest, fast-growing second stage companies. The company also showed off its newly expanded downtown Denver office at the “Startup Cribs” panel and the Denver Startup Crawl, where more than 200 visitors stopped by to tour the space.

“Real-time digital marketing is at a critical tipping point where it’s going beyond just a part of a marketing campaign strategy and becoming imperative as its own product category,” said Scott McNealy, Chairman and CEO, Wayin. “Being at the center of this evolving market, we couldn’t be more excited to be able to work with some of the tech industry’s most notorious leaders to make this next phase of growth a reality.”
