We are looking for an experienced software test development engineer to help build our capability in functional and performance testing of SaaS and connected applications for our Data Management product platform.

The Software Test Engineer will work as part of a product development team and is responsible for defining and executing an automation and quality strategy for one or more of ZOLL’s SaaS offerings. This person will help drive the implementation of best practices as our platform evolves to support continuous delivery at increasing scale.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute functional and non-functional testing strategy, tools, and patterns that the development team will use to rapidly deliver high-quality software. This role is responsible for setting the direction and patterns the team will use for testing, and mentoring team members to execute those patterns.  
• Construct a framework for data-driven functional and performance testing at a product level. The framework should support measurable increases in team productivity and quality levels.
• Read and interpret functional (marketing) and technical (development) specifications and develop and prepare comprehensive test plans designed to perform functional and load testing.
• Design, develop, and troubleshoot automated test scripts to validate the technical and functional integrity of web based components.  
• Configure and deploy test environments including servers, data stores, and test applications. Test environments will vary from local deployments to cloud based integration platforms.
• Integrate the test frameworks into an evolving CI/CD pipeline
• Fully contribute to product development as part of an Agile Scrum team.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in software development or software testing using automated execution.
• Additional experience with performance and load testing is highly desirable.
• Some experience in testing systems with IoT or connected devices is also desirable.
• Experience working with continuous integration, automated testing and test driven development.
• Demonstrated expertise in designing and building automation frameworks.
• Experience with code profiling, coverage and load testing.
• Proficiency with ASP.NET MVC, C#, and SQL
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience required.
