Overview

Four Winds Interactive (FWI) seeks a Software Developer to work with the Application Development Team. This position will develop new software in .Net and C#. This development will have a direct impact on the performance of our product, and therefore this individual will have a significant impact on FWI’s success. The Software Developer is not a management position.

 

All applicants must be authorized to work in the United States. The compensation package will be aligned to each candidate’s experience and qualifications.

Responsibilities

  • Develop client-facing, enterprise applications using modern .Net technologies
  • Must be able to analyze, design and implement a custom solution based on a list of requirements
  • Must be able to work effectively in a team environment and often with competing priorities
  • Ability to effectively communicate with customers and directly work with customers
  • Work as part of a project based team, or individually, to deliver a complete solution in a timely manner
  • Support, maintain and document software functionality

Qualifications

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Experience using modern technologies to build and maintain client-facing applications for desktop and web
  • Professional experience developing applications including server-side development in C#.Net
  • .Net4.0 Multi-threaded application programming
  • Experience developing web services, preferably Restful, WebAPI
  • Strong foundation in HTML5/CSS3
  • Experience using Visual Studio2015

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Experience performing Unit testing to ensure quality code
  • Client-side development with JavaScript and associate jQuery framework
  • Winforms or WPF experience
  • Familiar with cloud computing (AWS, preferred or axure)
  • Database experience, SQL Server 2008R2 and newer
  • Knowledge and hands on experience with XML, JSON data formats
  • General understanding of networking protocols
  • Understanding security best practices in relation to development (login accesses, security tokens, encryption, etc)
  • Understanding of SOA principles

Experience & Education:

  • BS degree in computer science or any related engineering field
  • 3+ years of experience with .NET/C# development
  • 2+ years’ experience in web services and software integrations development
