Salary Range: $160,000 to $185,000 per year

The Vice President of Product is responsible for guiding our Product roadmap and strategy and developing and growing our Product team. To be successful in this role, you must be data-driven, have a desire to teach and coach a team to build successful products, and have an appetite to solve difficult problems.
As VP of Product, your role is to partner closely with the leaders of Resi's engineering, sales, marketing, success, and operations teams to build fabulous products that help our customers achieve their missions. Establish product line cross-functional teams to enable product delivery and execution at product line level.

  • Define the product strategy and the plan of execution, overseeing the go-to-market strategy and execution, which ties the revenue plan with the product offerings in a way that produces the projected business results and desired customer experience.
  • Build and execute the product strategy and roadmap, owning the product strategy, and lifecycle, and the definition and execution of the daily product process, driving the product process with cross-functional teams and innovative solutions.
  • Identify opportunities and requirements for product changes including defining the customer problems, key opportunities, and customer segments to prioritize.
  • Achieve results specific to product which are aligned with the vision of the organization and its strategic goals as well as aligned to other departments' goals to build value for Resi Media in the marketplace, setting objectives and key results and performance indicators for product management.
  • Build and lead an engaged, world-class team that drives innovative products for Resi.
  • Provide support and change leadership to guide the organization through the product evolution, working closely with teams and partners to collaborate on priorities and dependencies, and plan for product delivery and results.
  • Work to continuously improve the product discovery and delivery process for the product teams including both the process to create artifacts and the process to review and provide feedback on product artifacts.
  • Ensure the right processes are in place to maximize the speed and quality of execution for all of the product org's teams. Proactively identify and solve execution issues and change the people and processes necessary within your control to efficiently deliver products.
  • Build a quality-first culture that values the role that quality plays in the company's success and takes pride in products that meets Resi's performance, stability, design, and business quality goals.
  • Use broad and deep understanding of the metrics that drive the business to guide the product strategy, creating a data-centric product culture that understands how to translate test results and product insights into a causal understanding of the levers that drive the business and uses that understanding to build impactful products.
  • Drive competitive analysis, industry research, and customer analysis to continuously improve Resi's products.
  • Build a customer obsessed culture that values customer empathy and is committed to making products that provide value in customer's lives. Encourage a balanced approach to decision making that synthesizes data and user research into a complete picture of the short-term results and long-term impact of product developments. You are the voice of the customer on the executive team, making sure that all members of the team understand the role the product and business has in people's lives.
  • Create a culture that enables the product, sales, marketing, operations, and engineering teams to work as a single unit to build products that look & feel exceptional and to deliver products that reinforce the company's brand and positioning and create effective user experiences that hit success metrics and deliver business impact.
  • Foster a culture biased towards outcomes, not output, including ensuring work is outcome driven, outcomes are meaningful to the business, instilling a sense of commitment at all levels of the org to deliver outcomes, connecting outcomes to company strategy, and building executive team support for the outcomes delivered by the product team.
  • Enable your team to define impactful roadmaps for their product areas, and synthesize those roadmaps into an overarching strategy for the product which clearly ladders into the company strategy and is a collaborative process with the Product team and leaders across the company to make effective prioritization decisions and delivery of both the company and Product strategy.
  • Collaborate with the executive team to set strategy, define product's role in that strategy, and achieve the strategy.
  • Foster a culture where the Product team taps into the diverse ideas of people around the company to build better, more effective products, triaging stakeholder feedback, making tough prioritization decisions when necessary, rallying everyone, including dissenters, around those decisions.
  • Ensure the Product team has the skills needed to effectively deliver the current roadmap, while also allowing for scaling of the team's expertise to grow with the company's needs and direction. Think and act proactively about the Product org structure to set up the product team for success.
  • Work effectively as an extension of the executive team to define and communicate product strategy, to the product team and across the company, and understand how product work is reinforcing strategic objectives. You are able to marshall development resources to accomplish the most important strategic objectives, and you proactively help resources flow to the most important priorities.
  • Hire, manage and mentor exceptional team members.
  • Lead and direct conversations with C-level executives both internally and with partners, dealers, and customers.


  • Bachelor's or Master's degree or equivalent meaningful product experience in a SaaS organization.
  • 10+ years' experience in product management including data analytics for product development and design.
  • 5+ years experience in product leadership with an excellent track record of building a product team.
  • Proven results in developing SaaS customer products with high quality user experience.
  • Experience defining end to end product mission, strategy, and roadmap to successful achievement of the business goals.
  • Leadership and flexibility to multiple priorities and changing business needs while applying analytical and technical skills to align to corporate initiatives.
  • Proven success in attracting, developing, and motivating the talent needed for current and future business needs with a passion for leading, mentoring and scaling product teams to reach their full potential.
  • Demonstration of achieving high performance expectations and leading teams to achieve organization and team results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in communicating a clear business strategy (verbally and in writing) to partners, employees, and leaders to build relationships, problem solve, and influence teams to improve upon processes.
  • Software experience with Google Apps, JIRA, Confluence.
  • Experience with hardware and software related to the video and audio production industry, including ffmpeg and gStreamer. Familiarity with video compression codecs such as h.264, HEVC, VP8/9 and AV1, and streaming technologies such as CMAF, FEC, SRT, Zixi, RIST, DASH and HLS.
  • Some travel required.
