Position Overview:

The Product team at Alteryx is dynamic, creative, and looking to expand! We're looking for a Technical Product Manager to drive the tactical execution for Alteryx Product Telemetry. Software telemetry gathers data on usage patterns for software applications. This role includes is collaborative, offering opportunities to work with several different Alteryx product teams to ensure the Alteryx products capture telemetry and performance data to inform decision making. A successful Technical Product Manager will focus on translating the business value of product telemetry features into functional user stories, will work day-to-day with all Alteryx development teams to refine and scrum stories to deliver business value, and will drive technical diagrams and design docs to support features and engineering efforts.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with one or more development teams to organize and manage large scope projects from initial design concept through life cycle of products; participate in team ceremonies including stand-ups, story refinements, and team retrospectives, to align the team towards a successful delivery cycle

  • Responsible for maintaining a prioritized feature backlog in an SDLC tool and communicating priorities to the Development Team

  • Responsible for feature and user story acceptance alongside the Product Manager

  • Help to identify, manage, and communicate initiative and feature risks and dependencies across multiple teams.

  • Focus on delivering quality features; collaborate with QA by approving test plans; respond to feedback via the Alteryx Beta Program.

Required Skills:

  • 1+ years' experience in Software Product Management, Software Engineering or equivalent including use of Rally, Jira or similar tools

  • Detail-oriented with critical thinking skills - ability to break down high-level requirements into technical concepts and functional units of work

  • Project management skills to drive multiple projects simultaneously

Valued Skills:

  • Domain expertise in telemetry, analytics, cloud services, APIs, logging, JSON schemas, software engineering, etc.

Compensation:

Alteryx is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The salary range for this role in Broomfield is $88,400 - $150,300. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidate’s relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location. 

This role is eligible for variable compensation including bonus and stock grants.
