Position Summary

As a software Product Owner at Location3, you will be on the ground floor helping to create innovative technology solutions in the digital marketing industry. You will gain a deep understanding of the LOCALACT Marketing Platform by analyzing customer usage, tracking engagement, and evaluating new features to grow adoption of the platform, to define and manage a product roadmap.

As Product Owner, you will also be charged with leading feature development, requirements gathering, and user story creation for an agile software development team. Internally, you will work with stakeholders on features, requirements, and releases to ensure successful launches and adoption.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as Product Owner on an agile development team, attending daily stand-ups, providing business context, and managing detail on user stories and acceptance criteria

  • Lead product development, working with the executive team, key stakeholders, and customers to define and execute against a product roadmap

  • Analyze internal processes and market needs to develop new feature ideas

  • Work with internal stakeholders to monitor and evaluate feature requests

  • Document requirements for new and requested features

  • Write, update, and clarify user stories and epics for new product features

  • Lead bi-weekly development planning

  • Coordinate releases of new features following QA, including acceptance and validation, as well as providing training and marketing materials on new features

  • Provide analytics on platform usage to internal stakeholders

  • Maintain an understanding of our customer base and market to understand product position and potential improvements

Qualifications

What we are looking for:

  • 3-5 years of experience in product management or business analysis

  • Experience with agile methodologies and experience working with agile teams

  • Certified Scrum Product Owner

  • Understanding of how web applications work and current technologies. A coding or development background is not required, but knowledge of how data, API, and front-end technologies work together is beneficial

  • Track record of driving the product development process from beginning to end which includes user story definition, grooming, commitment, and delivery

  • Strong project management skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills and tact to help bridge business needs and the software development process

  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written, for both development and business

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment and open office plan

  • Ability to take initiative with no or mixed direction

  • Digital marketing and advertising knowledge desired, but not required

Location

We are fully remote but our HQ is located in the heart of Denver on the 16th Street Mall with various restaurants, bars, light rail stations nearby.
