The Role

As a VictorOps Product Marketing Manager, you will be instrumental in evolving our go-to-market (GTM) process, as well as a key player in our field sales readiness initiatives. This role presents an excellent chance to define yourself in a growing, dynamic, and leading technology company. A proven track record of success in product marketing and enablement, coupled with excellent project management skills, is critical.

As the leader in this position, you will be the keeper of our metrics and analytics related to VictorOps product launches. You will be responsible for instrumenting field enablement systems, content and resources that enable engaging, meaningful conversations at every stage of the customer journey - and measuring the success of enablement programs that you steward. An operational mindset and comfort defining goals and reporting on progress are key.

Responsibilities

  • Lead launch and GTM initiatives. Articulate parent strategy and work across marketing, field, and product to deliver on launch tactics/enablement. Partner with Marketing colleagues on driving cross-functional, cross-channel marketing efforts to meet the growth objectives associated with ongoing product initiatives
  • Understand market trends and competitors and develop marketing strategies to increase our market presence and penetration
  • Work closely with Product Management and Engineering to deliver engaging enablement materials targeting a technical user and buyer persona
  • Create a repeatable and prioritized field readiness process for all product launches (i.e., what to communicate, who to communicate to, and when to communicate)
  • Develop standard processes, templates and guidelines for product launches (e.g. demo creation & training, content repository, slide templates)
  • Implement and leverage field enablement software to distribute enablement strategy
  • Host and facilitate live training sessions for product launches
  • Establish KPIs for product launches and rollouts in alignment with product leads. Design, implement and track metrics on the programs you own. Execute quantifiable reporting to management. Effectively communicate results to peers and other senior business leaders across marketing, product and sales teams
  • Collaborate. Collaborate. Collaborate with marketing, product management, sales, field enablement and beyond.

Skills / Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree required, MBA preferred
  • Minimum 2-3 years of product marketing experience in a technology company with demonstrated sales enablement experience.
  • Preferred technical background in cloud computing, CI/CD, APM and/or incident management.
  • Strong leadership and management skills; proven success leading a high-performing cross-functional team
  • Experience working within agile product development environments, with agile marketing expertise preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Collaborative individual who enjoys leading and participating in cross-functional teams
  • Superior project management skills; results focused on superb execution and follow-through; highly detail-oriented
  • Exceptional analytical skills; strong focus on ROI
  • Efficient, highly productive multi-tasker; self-motivated and flexible; thrives in an entrepreneurial environment

Project Management

  • Excellent critical thinking and project management skills; ability to prioritize and balance multiple, ongoing projects
  • Results-oriented and able to work strategically on long-term projects while block-and tackling day-to-day operations

Sales Skills

  • Proven experience supporting high-performing sales teams across multiple geographies and functions
  • Transferable Sales Methodology skills; ability to incorporate the methodology into our Sales Enablement programs
  • Ability to quickly ramp on VictorOps from a sales and a technology perspective. You won’t have to code, but you will need a thorough understanding of our products and our business

Learning Design & Delivery

  • Passion for developing creative training and enablement solutions; curiosity to think about learning differently, a passion for creating great experiences.
  • Presentation and facilitation skills. You will lead and co-facilitate field & company training
  • Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills in order to lead, manage and conduct project activities with a variety of management levels

Technology Skills

  • Ability to create blended learning using PowerPoint, video, animations etc.
  • Camtasia and/or other video recording/editing skills
  • Advanced Excel skills for reporting
  • Background managing learning systems and/or sales tools
