Inspirato is seeking a Product Manager to join our team to own and manage the technology product strategy and execution for our financial systems. This position resides within the product management department and will be the subject matter expert on business needs, processes, systems, and data flow within and among our financial systems. This role is heavily involved as a liaison between the business and technical teams during the development of our industry-changing applications. This is a highly visible, customer-facing role for a candidate that is a driven, enthusiastic, detail-oriented multi-tasker, who learns quickly and can work in a very fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Become the subject matter expert on all financial systems/products currently in Inspirato’s tech ecosystem
  • Manage strategic direction of the product roadmap
  • Regularly collaborate with stakeholders to define strategy
  • Collaborate with product team to ensure priorities align across product/initiatives
  • Work very closely with business and technology teams to fully define business and technical requirements based on general concepts that are not fully defined
  • Main point of contact for the program and delivery team
  • Define and communicate measures of success and objectives for delivery team
  • Coordinate and lead discussions with business owners
  • Thoroughly document and be the subject matter expert for the technical requirements through the project lifecycle
  • Document, manage, and communicate changes in scope
  • Consistently work very closely with the design, development, and QA staff to clearly articulate requirements and define and communicate scope
  • Create and own JIRA tickets and product specification documents based on requirements from ideation to delivery
  • Manage backlog priorities and work with delivery team to iteritively scope and groom work as needed
  • Proactively recognize, document, escalate, and coordinate resolutions for issues that occur throughout the project lifecycle
  • Participate in the testing to ensure that the right level of quality is present in the final product.
  • Responsible for solution meeting business objectives
  • Document and follow-up on key decisions.
  • Proactively communicate status and risk throughout the project lifecycle.

 

Required Skills: To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:

  • Expertise and knowledge of technology systems that manage and process financial transactions, recurring billing/subscriptions, revenue recognition
  • Knowledge of how electronic payments (e.g. credit cards and ACCH) are processed via websites and apps.
  • Basic knowledge of subscription billing and how revenue is recognized.
  • Strong technical knowledge and comfort and familiarity with APIs.
  • Strong analytical skills, including the ability to accurately elicit, clarify, and document project requirements and wireframes
  • Ability to learn new concepts quickly
  • Exceptionally strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to identify and communicate business and technical needs and collaborate in the design/implementation of system solutions
  • Ability to translate complex or nebulous business requirements into easy-to-understand functional requirements that the development team can translate into design
  • Capable of leading high-pressure discussion with demanding business owners
  • Very strong attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task and remain organized on several concurrent projects
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Strong technical background is a must
  • Background accounting knowledge a plus
  • Knowledge of Salesforce.com platform a plus
  • Knowledge of Zuora and/or RevPro platform a plus
  • Agency/consultant experience a plus
  • Experience using JIRA/Atlassian tools a plus
  • People management a plus

 

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years technology product team experience serving as a business analyst and/or product owner/manager
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
