Position Details:

Responsible for developing and executing the global communication strategy for enterprise
communications or a business unit of CSG.

Partners with senior leadership and business partners (TAP, GTM, G&A respectively) to define communication objectives and leads efforts to ensure all communications are integrated and aligned with the CSG's broader communication strategy and format.

Tailors communications to diverse audiences, including all employees, managers and senior management, or within lines of business. Coordinates with others to reach audiences externally on social media and elsewhere.

This role is part of the Global Communications team, responsible for telling our compelling stories to employees throughout CSG, as well as to support telling of stories to other stakeholders (i.e., customers/prospective customers, investors, potential employees, communities).  

 

Leads align to serve the unique business communications needs of functional leads as applicable:

  • Technology & Product – Supports the efforts of the EVP/Technology & Product and reporting senior leaders in organizational, change efforts and strategic objective communications, offering counsel and execution support to foster awareness, engagement and achievement of key initiatives.

 

  • Go-to-Market – Supports the EVP/President Go to Market as well as reporting senior leaders and their respective teams to align initiatives for professionals performing sales, services

 

  • G&A – Counsels on key corporate level initiatives to include M&A, crisis communication, organizational structure.  This role directly supports all G&A/corporate functions such as HR, Legal, Security, Finance, Reputation/Buzz Management, etc.

     

Skills/Abilities

The Internal Communications Lead, is experienced professional who can provide wide-ranging, innovative strategies then roll up sleeves to get the job done with limited direction. Assigned to manage messaging for specific line of business/functions, while looking for themes across business lines, functions and initiatives.

 

Will proactively find opportunities, while also responding to requests from all levels of the organization with confident and informed counsel.

Job Responsibilities

+ Provides communications counsel to senior leaders, subject matter experts and others across the company.

 

+ Develops communications and engagement strategies for internal (collaborating on external) storytelling.
 

Strategies could include new ideas, potential channels for distribution and visual storytelling such as infographics, podcasts and videos. Work with others to ensure the final product meets the desired outcomes.

+ Identifies efficiencies to make improvements in process, speed and effectiveness.

+ Develops metrics to measure success and adjusts for improvements.

+ Manages high workload by prioritizing with a bias toward company strategy and sensitive (time, issue, etc.) topics.

+ Develops templates and provides quick counsel as necessary to enable business partners with their own communications.

+ Oversees stakeholder management and change management where needed.

+ Supports crisis and M&A communications.

+ Experience in strategic, leadership, companywide communications.

+ Experience trying new ways of communicating and engaging.

+ Outstanding writing skills.

+ Proven skills as a strategic and thoughtful communications counselor.

 

Requires verbal and written contact with the Company’s senior management for the purpose of developing internal communication strategies;

 

Qualifications

10 to 15 years of experience leading internal communications role and managing global/regional communications for strategy, companywide and issues management

Track record of building and scaling an internal communications program at a global organization

Education – Bachelor's or master’s degree in a relevant field of work or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience.

Experience with social media, digital and video communications preferred. Familiarity with IT, including applications that support communication and connection (e.g., SharePoint, MS Teams, etc.)

Technical Skills and Knowledge –

  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience of employee engagement/communications and analysis as well as change management.
  • Demonstrated ability to guide change management initiatives and organizational shifts.
  • Demonstrated project management experience in organizing, planning and executing large-scale projects from conception through implementation.
  • Demonstrated ability to build strategies aligned with business goals and company culture
  • Outstanding ability to capture the executive’s voice and elevate their content and presence
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong expertise and leadership skills, and aptitude to take informed, creative risks
  • Ability and agility to work in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.
  • Confidence and poise to work closely with senior executives
  • Ability to influence in multiple ways and build credibility quickly with key stakeholders and peers
  • Strong sense of initiative and ability to work under pressure on multiple projects with tight deadlines
