The role

We’re seeking a Product Consultant to join our team full-time. The Product Consultant will ensure the conceptual and technical goals of the project are met on behalf of our client. In this role, you’ll be responsible for managing functional requirements, execution, and performance for a core set of features and/or components. You’ll work closely with a project lead, product designers, developers and QA.

The ideal Product Consultant for Kin + Carta is an innovative, strategic problem solver, who has a passion to partner with clients to drive product strategy for digital workstreams. We are looking for consultants who enjoy continuously learning and evolving the emerging technologies in the digital space. 

This is a hybrid position, with a mix of working onsite at our client's office, as well as remote. At this time, we are only seeking candidates in the Greater Seattle-Tacoma Area.

Role responsibilities

• Works on larger projects with guidance from Director, Solution Delivery to ensure successful delivery and client satisfaction  
• Works on smaller projects with limited guidance 
• Overseeing a team of 6+ Developers 
• Hands-on tactical practitioner with explicit accountability for the quality of their work.
• Responsible for managing the tasks and output of an individual project i.e. ceremonies, tickets, and progress reporting 
• Manages time effectively and keeps the design and development team unblocked.
• Growing understanding of development and technical constraints.
• Send status updates with the help of a Director, Solution Delivery. Can run mostly autonomously on simple builds of B2B and B2C applications.
• Works with Director, Solution Delivery to review work before handing off to the team
• Articulating the goals of their project as well as the rationale behind requirements during client demos.
• Communicating proactively with clients. May require guidance on stakeholder management.

Minimum qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in a similar product role 
• 4+ years of experience in business analysis and requirements definition
• Experience with Agile/Scrum roles, artifacts, and ceremonies
• Experience working with JIRA, Confluence and Figjam
• Has a solid understanding of how to read JSON and an ERD
• Consulting or agency experience in a client facing environment 
• The ability to work onsite in our client’s Seattle-Tacoma Area office

Preferred qualifications

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Desire to learn and become a SME in a number of different industries 
• Comfortable working closely with cross-functional development teams of engineers, designers, researchers, and strategists
• Experience leading teams 
• Bachelor’s degree

Compensation

This is a full time position. The salary range offered for this position is $115,000-$130,000 annually, depending on experience.
