Davidson Technologies is seeking a Principle Technical Editor and Writer for Colorado Springs, Colorado.
The Specialized Warfighter Development Contract (SWDC) Modeling and Simulation Software (MSS) is looking for you to join our team as a Configuration Analyst on the SWDC Configuration Management team out of Schriever Space Force Base, Colorado Springs, CO.
Roles and Responsibilities include:
- Writes, rewrites, and/or edits technical documents such as technical procedure manuals, user manuals, programming manuals, service manuals, operational specifications, and related technical publications to communicate clearly and effectively technical specifications and instructions to a wide range of audiences
- Acquires subject knowledge by interviewing product developers, observing performance of production methods, referring to technical specifications, blueprints, engineering illustrations, and trade journals
- Conducts quality review of materials, including reviewing documents for contract information, appropriate formatting, cover pages, release authorization, revision/change record, etc.
- Identifies process improvements and efficiencies in accordance with a continuous-improvement mindset
- Ensures Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) and Data Accession List (DAL) deliverables adhere to Northrop Grumman's 'One Voice' approach for documentation
- Assists in defining and implementing technical writing processes
- Experience maintaining a Master Document List (MDL) of all project deliverables, implementing and maintaining program data libraries, and interfacing with customers in a professional and supportive manner
Responsibilities:
- Experience: 6 Years with a Bachelor's degree; 4 Years with a Master's degree or 10 years in lieu of degree
- Possess an active Secret clearance or higher
- Experience in working with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to develop documentation in support of program goals and requirements
- Understanding of industry best practices for Technical Writing and Data Management
Desired Competencies/Experience/Certifications:
- DM experience in support of Department of Defense (DoD) development programs
- Understanding of CM/DM methodologies and best practices
- Experience developing and reviewing process documentation, such as plans, processes, and procedures
Clearance:
Must have an Active Secret Clearance
