The Opportunity
As a member of our Trust team, you will be analyzing and improving our existing privacy and trust systems. You are the eyes and ears of the team, and are excited about innovation, not just managing business as usual. You understand compliance but have an appreciation for balancing business value. Your success will be a combination of your experience building privacy and data protection programs and your ability to collaborate with operations, engineering, and product teams. What you'll be doing:
- Building strong relationships with internal stakeholders to provide proactive thought leadership ensuring privacy risks are identified and effectively managed
- Managing the prioritization of business needs along with team and partner capabilities to support an effective SPC program
- Collaborating with internal teams to document and maintain a data inventory and registry of processing activities
- Identifying potential areas of risk and compliance vulnerability – implementing action plans for resolution and remediation of future situations
- Aligning advanced technologies and privacy by design principles to ensure data use meets established regulatory compliance – this starts in the first stages of development
- Identifying and mitigating risks across the company through privacy impact assessments of products, services, and operational processes
- Coordinating with trust operations to facilitate training and events to raise awareness of internal policies regarding privacy and data usage
- Effectively communicating program progress, escalations, and analysis to key stakeholders
What We're Looking For:
- BS in information security, computer science, software engineering or related discipline
- 3+ years of experience in privacy or data protection preferably with a growth stage company – you might have experience building the original corporate privacy program
- Certified Information Privacy Professional through the IAPP or relevant technical certifications in a security-related curriculum
- Ability to drive projects by identifying and resolving legal and business issues with confidence Highly collaborative - you’ve been active on a multi-functional team and have a gift for inspiring others toward a common goal.
- Ability to balance risk in ambiguous and complex situations with adaptable processes
- Impeccable integrity well-honed analytical and communication skills

Salary Range: $110,000 - $160,000
