We are seeking an ambitious and energetic Senior Marketing Development Representative (“MDR”) who will be responsible for executing a targeted outbound lead generation campaign to marketing executives (CMO, SVP, VP) in order to foster meaningful conversations, drive sales pipeline and ultimately ensure Kapost’s success in the marketplace. Acting within the context of a High-Performance Team, the Senior MDR must have the skillset to handle full sales cycle opportunities while working with the Account Director and Solutions Consultant to execute the team’s territory coverage model. This is a dynamic role and a great opportunity in high-tech sales, enabling talented and aspiring individuals to continue their sales careers in Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) technologies.  With a rapidly growing customer base and organization, this is a great opportunity to work in martech space, with best-of-breed technology and to grow with Kapost.

 

Mission:  

Motivated, uncompromising execution of the top of funnel activities required to ensure enterprise pipeline development is set up for consistent quarter over quarter success.  

 

Responsibilities:

  • Hunter-focused role, developing enterprise engagement and qualified sales ready opportunities to support account directors’ pipeline
  • Work well within a High-Performance Team model.  Lone wolves need not apply
  • Flexibility to wear different hats based on what your team determines it needs to execute both tactically and strategically
  • Outbound telephone-based prospecting within Kapost Priority Accounts and in support of select marketing campaigns and programs
  • Update and maintain Salesforce.com as appropriate, including data discovery tied to initiatives
  • Report on weekly results, both qualitative and quantitative
  • Effectively own and educate a growing number of enterprise accounts about the value of a content operation
  • Expand knowledge of industry as well as the competitive posture of the company

 

Required Skills and Knowledge:

 

  • Exceptional level of drive and passion for results  
  • 1-2 years experience in Marketing/Business Development or Sales Development Representative role with a consistent background of overachieving on goals
  • Willingness to follow process, learn new skills and continue to build a career in sales and marketing
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to excel in a team-oriented atmosphere
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills
  • Desire to spend time on the phone prospecting, following up and engaging in meaningful conversations
  • Proficiency with Salesforce.com, Marketo and other prospecting tools (LinkedIn, SalesLoft, DiscoverOrg, etc.)
  • Google Suite knowledge including Docs, Sheets, and Slides
  • Experience or passion for Social Networks and Social Software tools
