Position Summary

The Senior Product Marketing Manager plays a critical role in the ongoing development of engaging and impactful value-based B2B product and solution marketing. This role directly supports the growth of our health plan market and the solutions we deliver across commercial, pharmacy and government-sponsored lines of business.  Key responsibilities include launch planning, campaign and content development, as well as sales enablement, collateral and training. You would join a team of two other product marketing managers, both reporting to the VP of product marketing. We are a dynamic team of marketers who love the challenge of telling a story that resonates with health plan executives and directors tasked with solving the major challenges in health plan management.

The ideal candidate for this role will possess the following skills and experience:

  • Strong understanding of and passion for healthcare, including how health plans/insurance works
  • Multiple years of marketing experience in the healthcare and/or healthcare IT (solution/value-based marketing a plus)
  • Particularly adept at quickly grasping and translating technical capabilities into benefits/value and messaging
  • Working knowledge of health and wellbeing IT solutions and/or healthcare consumer analytics and engagement
  • Experience creating and/or delivering sales training (live and distance-based)
  • Strong cross-functional collaborator who enjoys driving change in a fast-paced, thriving environment
  • Embraces ambiguity but insists on attention to detail and quality
  • Tireless, motivated, determined professional with integrity and good judgment
  • Loves working cross-functionally, is naturally collaborative

Responsibilities

  • Sales Enablement: Develop and communicate the value proposition of products, services, and solutions to marketplace buyers. Develop materials and training to support sales effectiveness. Develop and deliver content for sales training across multiple modalities.
  • Content & Messaging: Develop and maintain compelling product positioning and messaging that differentiates our offerings in the market and resonates with our target customers. Develop and maintain source-of-truth messaging architecture across products, services and solutions. 
  • Product/Solution Launch: Collaborate with product and solutions management to plan and execute the launch of new market offerings. Collaborate with product management to define key benefits and differentiators and successfully position our offerings to target key market segments. Develop campaigns to promote the launch of new offerings.
  • Collateral Development & Management: Serve as the primary curator of sales and marketing collateral for the health plan market. Maintain inventory of market-facing materials across all markets in support of sales activities, product launches, proposal responses, etc. Administer the SharePoint site of product marketing materials.
  • Demand Generation: Develop campaign strategies and tactics, create compelling content, and guide marketing programs to drive demand for the company's offerings. Develop the messaging strategy needed by the marketing team to drive demand for specific market offerings.

Required Knowledge & Skills

  • Degree in marketing, communications, or equivalent professional experience
  • 5-8 years of experience in product marketing or comparable role
  • MUST HAVE HEALTHCARE EXPERIENCE; preferably with health plans/insurance 
  • Strong editorial and writing skills in both long- and short-form content and comparable experience in producing marketing pieces in a fast-paced environment
  • Deep knowledge of and passion for the healthcare industry and a background selling technology-related products and services (essential)
  • Working knowledge of MS Office with advanced skills in PowerPoint development
  • Prior experience with instructional design and/or development of sales training (preferred)
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively across different teams and departments
  • Ability to quickly grasp and translate technical capabilities into benefits
