Position Details:

CSG is looking for a full time PR and Social Media Specialist to provide support to our PR, Social and Digital teams. As an integral part of the CSG marketing team, the PR and Social Media Specialist is responsible for supporting the execution of the social media content calendar, company award submissions, media list creation and maintenance, traditional and social media monitoring and reporting, and speakers bureau efforts. This role requires being able to multitask, problem solve, manage multiple timelines and work across functions. A successful candidate will perform tactical tasks effectively and with minimal supervision, develop collaborative relationships with team members, display effective communication skills and act proactively across all areas of responsibility.

Social Media support:

  • Support the company’s overall paid, owned and earned social media strategy
  • Write engaging copy for social channels, and execute weekly and monthly social calendars
  • Monitor trending social media conversations relevant to CSG’s brand, and identify engagement opportunities
  • Execute paid social media campaigns, track and optimize performance, and report on results
  • Identify and track industry social/PR influencers and thought leaders, and engage them as appropriate to amplify brand awareness
  • Use social media listening to identify trends that help establish our marketing & executive thought leadership content strategy

PR support:

Media Relations

  • Identify and enhance company media lists to ensure proper journalists are being targeted with relevant CSG news. 
  • Write and edit PR materials including press releases, media briefing documents, pitches and talking points.
  • Develop media pitches and conduct proactive outreach to targeted journalists.
  • Monitor company and competitor media coverage.
  • Support the PR lead and agency to conduct outreach to media during key tradeshows, events and conferences.

Thought Leadership

  • Support the PR Manager with the day-to-day aspects of the company’s speaker’s bureau.
  • Manage call for speakers submission process.
  • Identify opportunities to promote the company’s thought leadership through editorial and bi-lined article opportunities.

Awards

  • Actively seek opportunities for company award submissions in a strategic fashion. 
  • Serve as primary liaison internally for award submissions.
  • Develop and submit award nominations on behalf of company.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of PR, social media/digital marketing experience in a B2B corporate or agency environment.
  • Demonstrated excellence in writing and storytelling and is proactive in creating conversations and seeking innovative ways to connect with various audiences  
  • Ability to translate complex ideas into simple, intuitive communications
  • Outstanding written, verbal and online marketing communications skills.
  • Proven track record of success in PR and social media and experience with social media management platforms, technology and reporting.
  • Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors.
  • Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
