Role: 

Sovereign is seeking a Paid Search Manager to join our marketing team in the Denver Area. You’ll report to and collaborate directly with the VP, Marketing & Product to efficiently scale our search accounts to seven figures within the finance and insurance verticals of the business through an experimental test and learn approach to media and product design while leaning into machine learning and attribution capabilities to further enhance our competitive advantages.

Responsibilities: 

In collaboration with the VP of Marketing & Product, you’ll own the strategy, planning, and execution of the Paid Search channel. This includes keyword expansion, bid optimization, ad text optimization, and campaign analysis. 

Identify and execute initiatives to grow the paid search channel by working with internal stakeholders and external vendors.

Drive innovation through testing and iterating on new paid search strategies, ad formats, and measurement practices.

What are we looking for? 

•    2+ years of experience in paid search strategy, account management, and execution.
•    Experience managing at least 5-figure, 6-figure, or 7-figure monthly budgets.
•    Self-starter who is able to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
•    Advanced working knowledge of Paid Search platforms e.g. Adwords & Adcenter
•    Advanced working knowledge of Analytics platforms e.g. Google Analytics, Looker, Tableau
•    Excellent written and verbal communication skills
•    Strong critical thinking and analytical skills. 
•    Highly motivated and easy to work with. You can clearly voice your opinion, give constructive feedback, & handle it too. 
•    Relevant industry certifications are a plus
•    Prior Agency experience is a plus – especially if it’s direct response experience
•    Experience in Social, Native, Video, Display are all pluses.

Requirements: 

•    U.S. citizen located near Denver, Colorado. (Denver, Boulder, Broomfield, etc.) 
•    Bachelor’s degree or higher
•    Experience with Excel and capable of manipulating data in order to perform both high level and more granular analysis. This includes familiarity with VLookups, Pivot tables, and other such functionalities
