Job Summary

As the Marketing Specialist for DevOps you will work closely with the Market Strategist for DevOps to develop and execute the marketing plan for DevOps across all product areas at NetApp and in close alignment with key partnerships with industry leaders in DevOps. You will work with representatives from marketing, sales, product management, enablement, etc, to execute the plan and drive towards measurable results across demand-gen, events, blogs, video, web content, social media, online communities, etc. This role reports to the Chief Technologist, Cloud and DevOps, and will work closely with a team of Technologists and Marketing experts on Cloud and DevOps.

Main responsibilities: 

  • Co-own and execute marketing plan for DevOps across all product areas at NetApp, including demand-gen, events, trainings, online content
  • Own and execute detailed events activities at DevOps-related events, big and small
  • Support marketing activities across a cross-functional team of marketing, sales, engineering, and product management 
  • Work closely with key partners in containers and configuration management technologies to align, plan and execute on go-to-market priorities 
  • Drive content development including blogs, white papers, videos, and webinars throughout marketing funnel to qualify prospects and generate leads 
  • Build and execute strategy for NetApp developer community, thePub, through social media, community engagements, and events with an emphasis on driving NetApp brand awareness and responsiveness  
  • Advise the extended marketing team including content marketing, video, events, paid media, and others, on opportunities to maximize results and cost effectiveness of social media and community platforms 
  • Establish meaningful data-driven metrics report to measure marketing effectiveness and highlight important wins

  • Own and execute detailed events activities at Private Cloud-related events, big and small
  • Support marketing activities across a cross-functional team of marketing, sales, engineering, and product management 
  • Work closely with key partners in containers and configuration management technologies to align, plan and execute on go-to-market priorities 
  • Drive content development including blogs, white papers, videos, and webinars throughout marketing funnel to qualify prospects and generate leads 
  • Work closely with NetApp Public Cloud team to jointly execute key marketing plans and events
  • Advise the extended marketing team including content marketing, video, events, paid media, and others, on opportunities to maximize results and cost effectiveness of social media and community platforms 

Establish meaningful data-driven metrics report to measure marketing effectiveness and highlight important wins  

Job Requirements

Requirements: 

  • Execution focused and goal oriented, with excellent project management and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and quickly execute high quality work 
  • Proactive, with the ability to function well in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with competing priorities 
  • Self-motivated, energetic and agile with the ability to work both independently and cross-functionally 
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to generate, analyze and interpret data to make data-driven decisions and share meaningful metrics
  • Quick learner in a complex and technically-minded environment

Education

Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 3 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD without experience; or equivalent work experience.
