Role Description

The Account Director will serve as the account lead and primary client contact for our largest and most complex clients. This individual partners closely with the client to define goals and works strategically across our organization to provide thoughtful solutions with measurable results that help drive our clients’ businesses forward. This position requires a deep understanding of a client’s business, exceptional partnering skills, and an extremely proactive mindset.

 

They are responsible for direct management of the account team - from Senior Account Executive to Account Coordinator. As a people manager, this individual is accountable for mentorship and professional development of their team members, hiring and growing their team as needed, team administrative duties, and aligning the appropriate cross-functional internal teams to deliver on client needs. 

 

 

Role Requirements

Management 

  • Minimum of eight years of experience in an account management role, at a creative agency

Marketing 

  • Proven ability to foster relationships with senior-level clients, Directors, VPs and C-level executives
  • Experience pushing the client work to the boundaries of the social and digital space
  • Ability to identify, lead & own all organic growth initiatives for all clients on agency roster
  • Track record of delivering effective marketing solutions that helped drive marketing results
  • A thorough understanding of the agency process and agency/client relationship model

People-Management 

  • Proven ability to grow and manage internal teams, both within the account management department and across other functional departments
  • Experience managing, mentoring, and developing a team
  • Ready to challenge, inspire, and hold the team accountable for great work
  • Experience developing growth plans, monitoring progress, and providing timely feedback
  • Track record of actively participating and coaching individuals with clarity and momentum
  • Ready to participate and lead department huddles, client service team meetings, and be an active member of the agencies leadership team

Financial Management 

  • Ability to manage revenue, profitability, and expenses
  • Experience creating and managing budgets for large-scale projects 
  • Exemplifies excellent budget and estimate negotiation skills

Communication/ Presentation 

  • Displays exceptional communication skills, including small and large-group presentations
  • Confident user of email, text, video conferencing, presentation software and standard business software with superior organizational skills
  • Stickler for the details and not afraid to speak up when something isn’t up to par

Additional

  • Ready to assist in new business opportunities
  • Bonus: Experience in Workamajig or other project management software

Salary Range

$85,000 - $105,000 base annual salary

*Salary will be based on previous experience.

Position Specifics

This is a full-time salaried position that holds an approximate 40-hour workweek, though may require additional hours from time-to-time. This position may require some travel for client work. Although we do have a hybrid office, we are currently only considering local Denver candidates, or candidates looking to relocate to Denver.
