As the Head of Product & Alliances marketing, you will be responsible for the development, implementation, and optimization of marketing content and strategies that drive awareness and adoption of Cloud Elements as an integration platform. Your primary focus will be Sales Enablement – communicating the value proposition of our products to the global sales team and developing the sales tools and strategies that support the value selling process of APIs and Integration.

You will also work closely with our Chief Product Officer and his team to guide new products, features and services to market, providing guidance and leadership on positioning, pricing, messaging, and alignment with key verticals and Ideal Customer Profiles.  In this endeavor, you will be assisted by virtually the entire marketing team providing the full range of marketing services -- from PR to digital design, to social media, demand generation and analyst relations.

This role also oversees the enablement aspects of key alliance relationships across the company’s diverse GTM and business models.  CE supports white label, OEM, reseller and direct sales models. Our partners include some of the world’s largest software companies, such as SAP, and global Systems Integrators, including Cap Gemini, Deloitte, Wipro, and Cognizant.

Being able to assess and act upon analytics is key in driving continued results. Additionally, the individual in this role must have the interpersonal skills to work closely with the Marketing, Product, Customer Success, Sales teams and Executive Teams.

NOTE: A record of success in, and knowledge of SaaS, APIs or Integration product marketing environments, while delivering measurable results, is highly sought.

This position reports to the Chief Marketing Officer and is based at our global headquarters in Denver, Colorado.  

What you will be doing:

  • Ability to articulate various go-to-market strategies, and practice an “extreme ownership” mindset to execute against them.

  • Develop the strategy for pricing, messaging, packaging, promotion and selling of our products.

  • Train and support sales and customer support teams on new tools and products.

  • Ability to thrive in front of customers, partners, and analysts and use every external interaction to help inform your decision-making.

  • Develop a deep understanding our products, buyers, competitors, and markets to develop messaging, positioning and campaign strategies.

  • Determine the appropriate metrics for measuring and monitoring marketing effectiveness across customer lifecycles.  

  • Architect and deliver product marketing content to be used across all pipeline stages.

  • Deliver product marketing concepts and content to our strategic partners.

  • Work closely with Product to conceptualize, build content, and evangelize Cloud Elements across a variety of mediums, including speaking at webinars and conferences.

  • Work closely with Sales to create product marketing assets across the different stages of a customer’s life cycle.

  • Serve as an evangelist for our products through thought leadership and blogging, social media, and speaking.

  • Keep the company up-to-date with market trends and the competition, and devise programs and messaging to help our field win in competitive situations.

What we would like you to have: 

  • Demonstrated leadership in growing and building teams

  • 5+ years of highly relevant experience in software technology product marketing.

  • Growth stage company/start-up experience; ability to pivot and change as the company rapidly grows.

  • Proven analytical and quantitative skills, and an ability to use data and metrics to back up assumptions, develop business cases, and complete root cause analyses.

  • Track record of meeting tight deadlines and prioritize workloads in a fast-paced environment.

  • Demonstrated examples of crafting positioning and developing supporting messaging (e.g., sales presentations, data sheets, press releases, etc.)

  • Strong verbal and written communication & presentation skills.

  • High attention to detail, organized, and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously.

  • History of teamwork and willingness to take an all hands on deck approach to get the job done.

  • Experience with integration and API management platforms is a plus (e.g. Mulesoft, CA, TIBCO, Apigee, Dell Boomi, etc.)
