We built Vinyl Me, Please to help people discover themselves through music; to help them slow down, disconnect and enjoy a tactile experience in an otherwise digital world.

Based in Denver, CO, we’re growing at a rapid pace and looking to add new members to our team.

About the Role

This position is meant for someone who isn’t just passionate about music, but also about marketing; specifically email marketing. Email is one of our top channels reaching a highly engaged community and we envision this role driving the company forward by maximizing this channel. We are currently running mature campaigns across all channels and we are meaningfully analytical about our data.

This role will work as part of a team of experts in digital marketing, content marketing, and social media. You will be armed with industry leading photographic and graphic design assets. Not to mention you get to be marketing the best product of all time: music.

This position reports directly to the Head of Marketing and does not have any supervisory responsibilities. This role is a full-time position.

Email Marketing Manager Responsibilities:

  • Strategy and execution of the company’s transactional, marketing, and retention email campaigns

  • Analysis of current email marketing campaigns and making recommendations for improvement

  • Development of the company voice in email

  • Drive internal list growth

  • Test list purchase marketing campaigns

  • Manage automated email campaigns throughout the customer lifecycle to reduce churn and maximize customer LTV

  • Carry out segmentation of the database for custom campaigns

  • A/B Testing on various email campaigns to establish the most effective

  • Track and report regularly  on email campaigns in order to guide improvements

  • Ensure all email campaigns comply with current email best practice in the industry

  • Keep abreast of evolving music industry and email marketing trends

The ideal background of an Email Marketing Manager:

  • Excellent written communication and copywriting skills

  • Degree educated with a minimum of 5-7 years email marketing experience and can provide examples of successful campaigns

  • Experience with Mailchimp ESP and marketing automation

  • Analytical approach to email success, enjoys working with data to test and prove hypotheses

  • Visual creative skills in Adobe Suite

  • Basic HTML & CSS for making template changes

  • Experience with Shopify integration preferred
