DIRECTOR OF MARKETING

WHO YOU ARE:

Are you a creative, data-driven leader with demonstrated SEO and digital marketing ability? Are you looking for a position that will allow you to stretch yourself and put your fingerprint on a company’s processes from the ground up? Are you a strategic thinker with the practical skills necessary to grow a business by over 100% Y/Y?

As Privy’s Director of Marketing, you are the leader of the marketing department, reporting directly to the CEO. You are a savvy SEO and digital strategist with strong leadership skills that will drive the success of your team. Your role is to oversee the P&L of the department while developing, implementing and executing strategic marketing plans for the entire organization. This includes but is not limited to SEO, website, email, social media and affiliate marketing channels. 

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage to monthly, quarterly, and annual profit and loss targets

  • Create year-over-year growth strategy that aligns with overall company goals

  • Develop and execute strategic content marketing plans through SEO keyword research

  • Define and monitor daily performance metrics in Hubspot to understand organic search performance across multiple channels and markets

  • Identify growth opportunities in core areas such as site architecture, keyword selection and on-page optimization

  • Utilize SEO research and brand identity to inform and manage editorial workflow of sourcing content, commissioning articles, managing writers and publishing content

  • Manage and monitor our email ecosystem of both transactional and marketing emails

  • Test new strategies and analyze data quickly to achieve company key target objectives

  • Be nimble, able to change direction quickly and with intent

  • Read user behavior and take decisive action to make adjustments quickly

  • Negotiate contract terms with outsourced marketing companies and affiliate marketers

  • Create and manage Privy’s Affiliate Program Agreement and compliance strategy

  • Stay current with trends in all marketing aspects and identify new opportunities

REQUIREMENTS:

  • You are curious and inquisitive about what drives user behavior, using qualitative and quantitative data to drive decisions

  • Experience in SEO and traffic acquisition expertise, along with experience in working with analytical tools 

  • You lead people and initiatives confidently, creating and documenting processes along the way and with a continuous improvement mindset

  • You work autonomously and with a team seamlessly and with attention to detail to drive results

  • You are proactive, meticulous, organized, fearless, creative, analytical, grammatically impeccable, articulate and confident

  • You have proven abilities in creating your own successful campaigns, critiquing those of others with discernment and diplomacy and delegating only when doing so will produce a greater profit than completing the task yourself

  • Strong design skills with the ability to create aesthetically pleasing and on brand messaging

  • 6+ years experience in growth and affiliate marketing and SEO

  • 6+ years experience in management and leadership with a team a combination of outsourced and inhouse relationships

  • Experience collaborating with sales, business development and other internal teams

  • Project Management skills including scrum management and project scheduling required

  • Experience with HTML, CSS, Javascript, SQL and other coding languages

  • Proficiency with Hubspot, Excel and other platforms

  • Strong finance and budgeting abilities to leverage funds and create forecasting models

  • BA or BS in a related field (computer science/engineering, economics, statistics)

  • Identify with our company values and will exhibit these traits in all internal and external communications

  • Background and/or strong interest in Real Estate or Real Estate Investing
