Content Strategist and Creative Writer
Lems is a 9-person, Boulder-Based, direct-to-consumer footwear company that is emerging in the outdoor industry. Our mission is to design and develop footwear that considers the foot above all else. We tend to make really good coffee on a daily basis, and enjoy a beer with our lunches on Friday afternoons.
We are in need of a Content Strategist and Creative Writer to develop and implement content with continual optimization. This position works closely with the Marketing team to plan out and generate demand in all customer and market-facing capacities to create and arrange effective marketing content along the customer journey. This role requires a high level of creativity, attention to detail and project management skills.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES + RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Craft a content strategy for the customer and market-facing parts of the company. This includes but is not limited to: product descriptions, press releases, ads, newsletters, blogs, video scripts, and storytelling
· Ensure that content is written and developed consistently with SEO/SEM in mind
· Interpreting customer needs and develop effective product campaigns
· Working closely with the Marketing team to develop and maintain an understanding of a variety of audiences in order to effectively communicate business and product benefits
· Optimize content for delivery through a variety of channels
· Write and edit a wide-range of content that drives engagement, leads, blog views and other important metrics
· Keyword analysis and implementation across all channels
· Plan, execute and measure experiments, conversion tests, A/B testing
· Data analysis (Excel + Google Analytics)
· Affiliate marketing management
· Utilize strong ability to evaluate end-to-end customer experience across multiple channels and customer touch points
· Develop a clear understanding of the Lems brand and brand voice
· Create, own and maintain the Company’s writing style; enforce these style guidelines across departments
· Ability to “wear many hats”. As a small company, you will be required to step in where help is needed, even if that task/duty does not necessarily fall under your job description. We all have to take the trash out, sometimes! (literally).
REQUIRED SKILLS:
· Entry-level position
· Demonstrated proven written and editorial skills
· Self-motivated
· Dual-minded approach – you’re highly creative and an excellent writer, but can also be process-driven and rely on data to help make decisions
· Able to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. This role requires you to work across multiple departments in order to bring life to the brand and product
· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.)
· Nice to haves: SEO/SEM experience, Google Adwords/Analytics experience, knowledge in Adobe Creative Suite and knowledge or experience within the footwear and/or outdoor industry
