ABOUT THE ROLE

Metric Theory is looking for a Content Marketing Manager to join a team that has been nationally recognized as a best place to work by Inc., Entrepreneur, Ad Age, and more to help us build content and demand generation marketing programs. As we continue to build a reputation on redefining what a data-driven digital agency means to digital-led businesses, you’ll help us create global impact by launching both tried-and-true and innovative methods of introducing the world’s most disruptive brands to Metric Theory’s customer acquisition expertise.

 

The right candidate for this role is a self-starting, curious, and inquisitive marketer who has developed a reputation for picking things up quickly, building proficiency, and adding to their toolbox over time. You should have a knack for storytelling and would enjoy bringing stories to life both in writing and other media. You’ll work with some of the most driven and knowledgeable digital marketers in the industry, so an analytical understanding of digital marketing channels like search, social, email, and content with a performance mentality will be key to success. This is a high-growth role for an ambitious marketer looking to take the next step in their career.

You’ll work alongside our Sr. Director of Marketing to assist with content marketing programs, including:

  • Building resources that help make digital marketers’ lives easier, including guides, templates, webinars, livestreams, and more
  • Writing case studies and award entries showcasing the amazing work of our teams from client strategy to business operations to people ops
  • Leading social media strategy to deliver valuable content and discussion to the digital marketing community
  • Working with our strategists to develop blog content that makes Metric Theory a destination for performance marketers
  • Producing news analysis and speaker content to extend our thought leadership in the digital marketing industry
  • Assisting with email newsletters and email marketing campaigns
  • Establishing paid and unpaid content partnerships with technology partners and digital publications
  • Driving direct, organic, and referral traffic and inbound lead growth

Qualifications:

  • A history of successfully copywriting on deadline – samples required
  • 3 years of marketing experience in a digital demand generation environment
  • At least 2 years of content planning, production, distribution, and performance tracking
  • Planning, building, and launching e-books, white papers, research reports, or similar marketing assets – samples required
  • Leadership in social media planning, execution, performance analysis, and audience growth
  • Contributions to a company blog that has consistently built audience reach, organic traffic, and subscriber membership
  • Campaign analysis using Marketing Automation platforms like HubSpot or Marketo, web analytics software like Google Analytics, and CRM systems like Salesforce
  • Managing website content via Wordpress CMS or equivalent
  • Either direct experience in or cross-functional work with advertising on search and social ad platforms – Google, Facebook, and LinkedIn
  • Track record of delivering against lead and/or new customer acquisition targets
  • Established strengths in organization and project management

Not a Must, but a Plus:

  • Practical knowledge of SEO principles for planning new content
  • Management and/or training of junior marketing personnel
  • Work in communications and earned media
  • Background in webinar production and distribution
  • Working with photography and video production vendors
