The Role

The Content Marketing Manager will work with the VictorOps division of Splunk. Our cutting-edge marketing team is located in sunny Boulder, CO. In this role, you create innovative campaigns, collaborating with product marketing and subject matter experts to write, edit, and distribute content pillars. This role requires you to not only create engaging content for a technical audience but also lead execution and distribution. If you love: creating fun, value-add content; building thoughtful user-first campaigns; appreciate a terrible pun; and want to be part of scaling a fast-growing team, then this may be the position for you.

Interested? You should be marketer and a writer who will thoughtfully build cohesive content campaigns to support a full-funnel customer experience.

Responsibilities

You will:

  • Produce, update, and analyze core content assets including web pages, email copy, newsletters, case studies, campaign messaging, and more
  • Partner with industry leaders to transform their concepts into audience-facing assets
  • Craft lead generation content assets, including eBooks, whitepapers, guides, etc.
  • Keep a pulse on the latest in the DevOps space, developing fresh themes, topics and concepts that translates to traffic and leads
  • Write blog posts and support others in the company to ensure their material is blog ready
  • Write copy to support SEO and digital advertising optimization
  • Collaborate across departments to understand our buyers and users in order to produce content that speaks to their needs

Requirements

  • 4-5+ years of relevant experience
  • Background developing innovative, content-based campaigns
  • Familiarity with inbound lead tactics and editorial planning
  • Ability to combine research along with qualitative and quantitative data to drive customer-first content
  • Analytically minded and measurement driven
  • Flexible and able to lead multiple projects
  • Out-of-the-box thinker who thrives on developing and testing new ideas
  • Works well with fast-paced decisions and changing deadlines
  • Experience using SEO and CRO techniques to optimize content for web-based conversions
  • Experience in B2B, SaaS, and/or tech a plus
