Rachio is seeking an Acquisition Manager to own the strategy, execution, and optimization of paid, and at times, unpaid acquisition programs. You will be focused on growing Rachio’s revenue across its consumer channels by optimizing and expanding Rachio’s buyer journey and multi-touch attribution models to inform high-impact experiments, drive key insights, and opportunistically manage spend based on true ROI.

Required // (What You Will Accomplish)

  • Define strategy, execute, manage, and efficiently scale Rachio’s acquisition programs, both online and offline

  • Own the customer acquisition function, including setting short- and long-term strategy, forecasting growth, providing business updates, and budget planning and allocation

  • Continually expand and refine Rachio’s multi-touch, multi-channel attribution model to inform ROI-based decisions and support mapping Rachio’s buyer journeys

  • Design and run high-impact tests to drive key customer insights and optimize acquisition funnels

  • Collaborate with Rachio’s content and creative teams to iteratively produce high-performing ads and landing pages, informed by customer segmentation research and other data and past results

  • Independently monitor, analyze, and report on KPIs and performance trends; report on true incremental impact of experiments and campaigns

  • Compile industry research, competitive landscape information, information about new tools, and benchmarking, and produce actionable recommendations

  • Leverage data from and partner with our Customer Success and Brand lead that drives strategic analytics for Rachio

  • Manage relationships with external vendor partners, including agencies

  • Be an expert on Rachio brand including strategic landscape, consumer feedback loops, brand and user analytics, and competitive positioning

Desired // (This Should Describe You)

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in results-oriented digital direct-response marketing managing acquisition programs at a startup, e-commerce company, or digital media agency

  • Obsessive customer focus; desire to understand the channels in which the customer is consuming media, interacting with our messaging in various channels, and how best to position our brand and capture attention and interest

  • Intensely data driven; persistent hunger to analyze and improve performance

  • Critical and creative thinker; can dive multiple levels deep to solve tough problems

  • “Owner’s” attitude; tackles problems through to solutions and has an ability to work both independently and across functions

  • Curious, nearly to a fault; your insatiable desire to get beyond surface level learning and uncover true insight is fueled by asking 2nd, 3rd and 4th order questions

  • Unwaveringly objective; you represent the voice of the consumer, especially when learning is counter to initial hypotheses or prior learning  

  • Skilled data storyteller; you are comfortable weaving together disparate sources of information into a holistic story with strong recommendations based on trends and consumer facts

  • Broad and deep knowledge of paid social, search, display, and shopping; ability to develop SEO strategy and implement in collaboration with internal and/or agency teams

  • Fluency with Facebook Ads Manager, Google Adwords, Amazon DSP, Google Analytics, Facebook Attribution and other digital marketing platforms; expertise with Excel and proficiency in SQL; working knowledge of Iterable and Tableau (or other BI tools) is a plus

  • Strong quantitative analytical skills; an understanding of the statistical basis for A/B testing

  • A continual learner; always seeking to improve yourself, your team, and the world around you

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication and collaboration skills, at all levels of the organization

  • Thrives in working flexibly and efficiently, and both providing and receiving direct, honest, and supportive feedback

  • Bachelor’s degree required
