We help colleges and universities grow – through building online programs to extend their reach to students all over the world.  Elsmere is headquartered in the Cherry Creek area of Denver and works with select universities around the country on online programs and other growth initiatives.  Elsmere Education manages the strategy, marketing, recruiting, program development and retention efforts for its partner universities.  With relationships defined by transparency, Elsmere Education is relatively small but growing quickly – ground floor opportunity to be part of something big.

 

Elsmere Education is currently hiring a Marketing Director (MD). The MD will work with the university partners and manage all aspects of marketing including strategy, execution, branding, event planning and management of marketing vendors and outside firms. 

 

The MD must be an excellent writer and willing to dive in quickly and leverage existing experiences to drive significant exposure and additional lead flow.  Additionally, the MD must have experience in digital marketing and fearless enough to explore new marketing opportunities to drive more students to these important online programs. 

 

Finally, the MD must be excited about the opportunity to work in an early stage company.  People interested in hierarchy, titles and long meetings need not apply.  Elsmere Education was created by entrepreneurs – and gains energy from other entrepreneurs.  There are no rules, standards or limits for this role – and lots of upside as we grow the company and the marketing department.

 

WHAT:

·       Event Marketing – Develop fun events to attract prospective students – both online and in person – let’s make a splash

·       Email Marketing – Help us stand out in someone’s inbox – lead gen, nurture, nagging – all campaigns we do regularly

·       Agency Support – Motivate marketing firms to help us promote our online programs

·       Copy Writing – Quick, you have 5 seconds to make your point – now write it so it leaps off the page

·       Student Recruitment – Support the team with whatever tools they need to help qualified students find the right program

·       Marketing Analytics -  Measure the work and know what happened, why it happened, and how we can make it better

 

HOW:

·       Strategic Planning/Execution: Work with EEI leadership to develop annual marketing budget approach for each degree, aware of competitors, ROI, CPL and recruiting/retention goals.

·       Content Development: Responsible for testing, planning and implementing action oriented and informational content for marketing and sales communication sources.

·       Sales Support: Support the recruiting team functions through recruiting materials, emails, direct mail, etc.

·       Digital Media: Working with Validated Insights (digital marketing partner) track, plan, assess and schedule content to drive qualified leads by program.  Track budget (for supplement opportunities by month) and data for measurement purposes.  Work with Validated insights on digital ad photography, copy and measurement.

·       Social Media: Develop monthly social media schedule to link social tools with measureable ‘action’ links and information (i.e./ register for webinar, sign up for e-news, event invite, contact forms, application page, career guide).  Plus, check social media comments daily for questions, referrals or inappropriate information.  Supplement monthly schedule with newsworthy posts.

·       E-News, Webinars: Draft content (with CTA + active links for measurement) for

·       Data:  Maintain updated database and segmentation for e-news, as well as content folders (with current logos, photos and templates)

·       Events: Design programs and enticing events at annual industry events for recruiting efforts (as needed) and work with EMBA team on ideas for recruiting events to build on 2016 lessons learned.

·       Relationships: Establish professional and collaborative business relationships with client contacts to maintain accurate information and problem solve.

·       Research/Results Measurement: Research data from credible sources to support sales and marketing messaging (rankings, trends, competition, industry news) as part of marketing plans.

·       Others duties as assigned.  

WHO:

·       Experience - 1-3 years of experimenting, failing, and some demonstrated success

·       Education – Undergraduate degree – liberal arts backgrounds welcome.

·       Technology – spreadsheets, CRM (salesforce) and email systems are must

·       Intangibles – Funny, good reader/writer, entrepreneurial, talented, easily bored, competitive

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

·       Ability to work independently combined with a strong collaborative style of communication

·       Knowledge of marketing fundamentals, research and design

·       Strong verbal and written communications skills; plus interpersonal and selling skills

·       Ability to develop strategic plans + solutions (immediate and long term)

·       Ability to communicate with all levels within the organization and work/ learn independently and in a team environment

·       Ability to test, learn and apply new systems to improve outcomes

·       Strong organizational and time management skills

·       Strong attention to detail

·       Strong analytical and technical skills

·       Results-oriented and high energy

·       Passionate and committed to his or her own personal and professional development as well as that of his or her colleagues.
