Senior Paralegal – Intellectual Property

The Role: The Senior Paralegal will support the legal department and brand protection team as we grow to meet the needs of a rapidly expanding company. We seek an organized, tenacious team member with vision to develop new structure and policy within the group, and a scrupulous attention to detail to keep daily projects moving forward and support the Business.

Responsibilities:

• Organizing and managing the Company’s intellectual property portfolio, as well as contracts across all facts of the company (licensing, operations, sales, etc)
• Researching potential enforcement targets and follow leads, communicate daily with outside counsels world-wide; and 
•  Supporting the legal department in drafting agreements, filings, correspondence, budgets, and other deliverables.

Requirements:

• 7-10 years of experience as a paralegal in-house or with a large law firm;
• Expertise with intellectual property (patent and/or trademark), including management of large intellectual property portfolio(s), docketing, and drafting and preparing routine filings with intellectual property offices world-wide;
• Excellent skills in MS Word and Excel
•  Experience in online investigations and research;
• Familiarity with preparing and following through on IP takedown requests on Amazon and other marketplaces;
• Work experience with relevant legal vendors and software services, including legal billing, docketing, matter management, etc. Experience preparing, responding to, or evaluating fee proposals, SOWs, or RFPs; and
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail.
