Our state-of-the-art spacecraft and subsystems are supporting LEO, GEO, Lunar, and interplanetary missions.

Blue Canyon Technologies is looking for an experienced Contracts Administrator to join our team. This Contracts Administrator will be providing administration of current and new contracts for existing customers and new business development.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsible for the preparation, review, negotiation and administration of complex, multi-phased sales contractual instruments, as well as subcontracting needs.  The Contract Manager will develop and administer various aspects of request for proposal solicitation and subcontract preparation, evaluation, negotiation, award, monitoring and close-out.

  • Analysis and negotiations of terms and conditions of contracts
  • Ensures compliance with policies, procedures, and applicable laws
  • Interprets and ensure compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and other applicable regulations
  • Reviews contracts and agreements for product export, liability and risk, intellectual property, legal sufficiency and compliance with applicable laws, regulations and BCT policies
  • Reviews contracts and agreements for product performance, quality, and delivery requirements, and flows those details to the cognizant project manager, mission assurance manager, and production manager
  • Performs in-depth price/cost analysis using several variables and methods to determine the reasonableness of proposed pricing
  • Works closely with accounting, program management, and other personnel to resolve issues related to contract provisions

Required Qualifications:

  • 5 + years' experience managing government contracts/subcontracts in a DoD environment to include prime contracts
  • Ability to work independently and think analytically with minimal oversight.
  • Ability to interact successfully with all levels of management, engineering and administrative staff both internal and external to BCT
  • Attention to detail, research, information monitoring, accuracy, critical thinking, planning, organization management, and analytical skills are required for this position; in addition to strong communication skills both written and verbal, and ability to work in both independently and in a team environment.
  • Experience administering all types of government contracts (Cost Type, FFP, T&M), including reviewing and understanding pricing, representations and certifications, and subcontracting issues.
  • Working knowledge of budgeting and proposal process, including the application of indirect rates and fees
  • Comprehensive knowledge with FAR, DFAR, and other Government regulations
  • Bachelor’s Degree from accredited College
  • Proficient in MS Office

Desired Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of trade compliance laws and regulations, especially as related to import and export of aerospace goods and services, including the ITAR and EAR.
  • Knowledge of intellectual property protections, data rights, including both trademark and patent work.
  • Proficiency in drafting, reviewing, and administering Nondisclosure Agreements, Teaming Agreements, Joint Venture Agreements, and other similar agreements.

Working conditions:

This job operates in a professional office environment, but in a manufacturing company. This role uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, scanners, filing cabinets and fax machines.
