Let’s Roam is a startup that helps people explore the world and connect with others through scavenger hunts, bar hunts, restaurant experiences and more. Our activities help people connect with their environment through fun challenges and interactive games. We’ve helped friends explore the city, couples propose, and companies have a better work culture. About This Position

The mission of the Public Relations/SEO Intern is to build awareness of Let’s Roam through link submissions and media outreach. 

Candidate Competencies

• Efficient at doing a task repeatedly

• Strong communicator via email/phone

• Strong writing ability

• Process oriented

• Understanding of public relations and earned media

• Ability to learn SEO strategies 

Position Description

Responsibilities

• Link Building (80%)

  • Submit listings to publicly available areas (~40/day)

  • Research and reach out to high value potential partners

• Media Outreach (20%)

  • Research journalists and bloggers focusing on lifestyle, travel, things-to-do and other relevant outlets

  • Develop pitch strategies for each group of journalists

  • Contact media sources to pitch article stories and ideas

Other possible responsibilities:

• Monitor SERP for high value keywords

• Work with sales to create an automated system

• Assist in booking of events for our Brand Ambassadors

• Manage 3rd-party services (e.g. Groupon)

• Assist with local events and scavenger hunts

• Other duties as assigned

About Contract To Hire

After 3 months this position may have the ability to transfer to a full time public relations position at Let’s Roam. At this time, full benefits will go into effect. This position will have limited benefits prior to this time.
