As the IT Intern in our Denver office within the Business Capability Engineering Group, you will work on a discernible project over your 10-12 week internship. We are seeking a junior or senior in college who is working toward the completion of bachelor’s’ or masters’ degree and is looking to gain experience outside the classroom to develop your skills and further career interests in the Business Analytics, Change Management, Business Intelligence, Real Estate Operations/Finance fields. This internship is an opportunity to gain exposure to diverse areas within the Information Technology and Industrial Real Estate arenas, both Corporate and hands-on Real Estate Operations.

In this role you will experience how the world’s largest industrial real estate company uses IT solutions to stay ahead of the competition and deliver the best customer experience possible. You will be part of the IT team, but working very close with business departments. We are looking for someone who likes to listen carefully and dig to the key “why”, translate complex notions into simple terms, and come up with creative solutions.

What will you do:

• Special project assigned by the team
• Meet with business representatives in-person or virtually to elicit business requirements
• Analyze and document current-state versus future-state business processes
• Proactively communicate and collaborate with the business and technical teams to deliver artifacts
• Ad hoc analysis in Excel and potentially other Business Intelligence tools such as Tableau or PowerBI
• Assist in people-change management activities by preparing training materials and analyzing the impact of change on various business stakeholders
• Assist senior business analysts by creating requirement descriptions, functional design documents, as well as any associated use cases
• Experience working in an agile environment. Participate in our team’s Scrum Ceremonies: daily stand up, planning and refinement sessions, system demonstration sessions, team retrospective

• Advanced Junior or Senior level student working towards their Bachelors’ or Masters’ degree. Preferred majors: Business Analytics, Information Technology, Business Intelligence, Real Estate Operations/Finance or similar
• An interest in commercial real estate, information technology and/or data analytics
• Demonstrated critical thinking skills and attention to details
• Good written and verbal communication skills; Highly organized with self-starter attitude
• Ability to work fairly independently, with equal ability to work collaboratively on a team and accept constructive feedback
• Advanced expertise in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
• Strong technical aptitude and a desire to learn new skills
• Affinity with Real Estate Operations/Finance/Economics, Supply Chain Management, People-Change Management, Tableau, Power BI, SQL, Salesforce is a plus
