This role will provide coordination, communication, tracking and reporting across multiple technology projects. The ideal candidate will be someone interested in growing their career in project management with excellent communications skills and a collaborative style.  Self-starters who are comfortable in a global, project-oriented, matrixed environment are essential for this role. The Project Management intern will work with one or more Program Managers to deliver project results through the full project lifecycle, leveraging varied methodologies, as appropriate. This individual will help ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, with a high quality standard. 

 

Here's How To Do That:

  • Support Program Manager(s) in managing projects by organizing tasks, teams, and communication across a variety of complex initiatives that span multiple functional areas
  • Assist with coaching and motivating team members to meet project goals, adhere to responsibilities and project milestones
  • Coordinate various work activities to ensure deliverables are timely, accurate, and handed-off appropriately
  • Ensure overall quality of work products and deliverables
  • Provide input to project leadership related to overall planning, control and risk management
  • Assist with detailed project planning and controls to include status reporting, financial, scope and schedule monitoring, risk and issue tracking and resolution
  • Create and manage documentation for projects and initiatives, including business case forms, meeting notes, action items, charters, change requests, risk and issue logs, communication plans, and other related content

 

Tell Us If You're Ready:

  • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a technology or communications related field with a strong desire for a career in project and program management
  • At least 2 years' experience working as a project coordinator or manager on technology and business projects is preferred, but will accept motivated individuals and self-starters who don't meet this criteria
  • Communication and presentation skills 
  • Experience with project management and agile tools including, but not limited to, MS Project, Smartsheet, Jira, or Rally is not required, but is considered a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain strong working relationships with business stakeholders, business customers, executives, and IT colleagues  
  • Adaptability to leverage varied project frameworks including Agile and Iterative
  • Ability to efficiently prioritize and organize competing work demands with some oversight
