Join the 2021 FIS University Summer Internship Program!

As a 2021 FIS University Program Summer Intern, you will have the opportunity to participate in team projects, community service activities, social events, professional development seminars and work alongside team mentors. This is a full time (40hrs/week) paid internship that will begin on June 7, 2021 and conclude on August 13, 2021. 

About The Team

You will be a vital member of our internal consulting team within the Merchant Strategy Group in FIS’ beautiful Denver, CO office. Our Merchant Strategy team is responsible for crafting the overall strategic direction of FIS’ multi-billion dollar payment processing business. The Merchant Strategy team works with our various revenue-generating functions to identify opportunities for sustained growth over a medium-term time horizon. In addition to supporting our line of business partners, the Strategy team also serves as a key leader in advancing the business’ M&A and competitive alliance activities.

What You Will Be Doing

Interns going through the program will leave the summer with a strong foundational skillset in consulting-related data analytics techniques, presentation formation, executive communication, and project management. You will do the following:

  • Diagnose & evaluate complex business problems using a hypothesis-driven framework

  • Effectively interview key stakeholders to unearth vital information necessary to execute on projects

  • Leverage key stakeholders to perform analysis & solve key business problems

  • Offer recommendations for problem improvement & prepare presentations to share findings

  • Work w/ stakeholders and leaders on developing an action/implementation plan

  • Present your overall findings and project learnings to senior leaders within the FIS Merchant Solutions team

What You Bring

  • Rising Senior (graduating December 2021 through May 2022)

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

  • Self-motivated and willingness to learn

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Strong Excel & PowerPoint skills

  • Preferred: comfort w/ using advanced analytics tools such as Tableau & Alteryx
