Healthgrades is seeking a Communications Intern to join our team in downtown Denver.

Millions of people use Healthgrades monthly to research, compare and connect with physicians and other healthcare professionals. We provide consumers with the information they need to make more informed decisions, including information about the provider’s experience, patient satisfaction and hospital quality. Physicians and healthcare professionals also rely upon Healthgrades to accurately represent their practice online, make them more relevant and discoverable, and connect them with consumers. We are dedicated to delivering solutions that bring a new level of transparency to healthcare.

As the Communications Intern, you will assist with Healthgrades' communications efforts including content development, project management, and day-to-day department operations of all internal and external communications initiatives to build Healthgrades brand and thought leadership in the industry.

What you will do:

  • You will support the team’s PR efforts to drive national, local and trade coverage of Healthgrades
  • Support internal communications efforts for the Pulse newsletter and company blog, as well as develop and distribute Healthgrades Daily Update to all employees
  • Support media tracking, analysis and reporting of PR initiatives and participate in weekly team calls with responsibility for call notes and follow-up
  • Help build media lists, facilitate press tracking, and tagging
  • Support PR campaigns through digital and social channels

What you will bring:

  • Pursuing Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, or English
  • Organizational skills with keen attention to detail required
  • Self‐motivated, comfortable and effective working in a fast‐paced, deadline‐oriented environment
  • Flexible and able to adapt quickly to shifting priorities
  • Strong sense of collaboration and ability to both manage AND execute programs
  • Leadership skills, with the ability to serve as a unifying force for coordination
  • Writing, proofreading and copy-editing skills (writing examples required)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Experience with project management and media monitoring software (Cision, etc.) a bonus

This is a 12 week-long paid internship. The position will be approximately 40 hours/week
