Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Front End Software Developer Mid/Senior to support a client, on-site, in the Colorado Springs, CO area.
In this role you will work directly with engineers, analysts, software developers, and a range of customers to provide systems and software (S/W) applications expertise, including translating complex systems to support the customer’ needs. The analysis work products will be used by a wide range of audiences including the U.S. Government, up to the highest levels within the Department of Defense, Intelligence Community, and Executive Branch. The successful candidate must enjoy working in a highly innovative environment, where you not only answer difficult questions, but you also help formulate the questions themselves.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Using your skills with Front End User Interface, User Experience to develop a Space focused interface for customer use
Collaborate with a diverse set of stakeholders to define requirements
Designing highly reusable components, as part of an enterprise-wide system
Designing high-quality experiences and use flows across applications
Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and best practices
Assist the development team in implementing design specifications, providing technical advice and guidance when custom solutions are necessary
Present design work to stakeholders and team in both technical terms as well as common language for non-technical users
Communicate complex concepts
Work in an Agile development with other teams in a fast-paced development environment
Participate in backlog grooming and requirements reviews
Participate in team's bi-weekly Agile ceremonies
Use agile project management tools to track assignments and report progress
Decompose complex requirements and capabilities into executable discrete user stories
Demonstrate your developments to customers
Required Skills:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science – four (4) years of relevant and demonstrated experience may be evaluated in lieu of degree.
4 + years of professional software development experience
4 + years of experience in REACT and or Angular development
4 + Experience utilizing Agile development processes
Strong understanding of frameworks like HTML, and CSS
Be able to manage versioning and publishing of UI components library and style guide
Self-learner with an interest in innovation and learning new technologies and design skills
Strong work ethic, reliable and adaptable
Experience with Gitlab
Self-start, follow-through, complete projects from start to finish
Minimum Secret Clearance (must be able to obtain TS/SCI)
Desired Skills:
Space domain experience.
Experience using both Scrum and Kanban.
C++: 3 years’ experience (preferred).
SQL: 3 years’ experience (preferred).
Python experience
A minimum secret clearance is required for this position. Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. LMI will only consider applicants for this position that have a current security clearance.
