THE OPPORTUNITY
The VP of Financial Planning & Analysis will lead our global corporate financial planning & analysis function responsible for all planning processes, forecasting and reporting. You will drive an efficient, effective and comprehensive process for developing financial plans, forecasts and analyses that aligns with the company's strategic objectives.You and your team will work closely with the Accounting team to ensure a complete and thorough close process.
You will lead a team of financial analysts to package and present financials, key metrics, forecasts and insights to key stakeholders including senior leadership and the Board. You will work collaboratively with senior leadership and their teams across the company to identify Performance Indicator (KPI) reporting, operational reporting, analysis of key business trends, actual versus budget variances and comprehensive explanations of differences, highlighting risks and opportunities evident in financial results. The work of you and your team will turn financial data into insights that enable our business leaders to make better operational and strategic decisions. You will have the opportunity to not only influence the forward-looking vision of the business, but also help grow the business through advanced financial modeling and development of business cases for strategic growth opportunities, including new products, acquisitions, etc.
The ideal candidate is a strong leader with experience growing and building teams. You will provide motivational leadership, coaching and career development for the team.
THE SKILL SET:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics with 10+ years of FP&A related experience
You will be part of Xactly's Leadership team, reporting directly to the CFO
SaaS industry experience is highly preferred
Have proven ability to think strategically and plan effectively; be detailed, results oriented, while managing multiple tasks against deadlines
Strong business acumen with an ability to make sound business decisions leveraging data analysis. Ability to identify key business drivers to align finance department resources against the most important needs of the business.
Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills and proven experience in cultivating collaborative working relationships with teams across an organization
Strong leadership skills and proven ability to build high performing teams that can operate in a high tempo and dynamic environment
Be a thought leader who challenges the status quo and develops workable solutions in an existing culture
Expert with financial tools including Excel, PowerPoint and business systems - e.g., Netsuite, SalesForce, and OpenAir
WITHIN ONE MONTH, YOU'LL
Obtain strong understanding of FP&A team's processes, deliverables, and capabilities
Build relationships with FP&A team members
Build relationship with key business stakeholders including senior leadership, Accounting team and Vista
Understand Xactly's business structure, products and Go-To-Market strategy
Be introduced and have a high level understanding of key systems (SFDC, Workday, Adaptive Insights, OpenAir, etc.)
WITHIN THREE MONTHS, YOU'LL
Become the valued finance partner for the business and the go-to resource for senior leadership on issues impacting key metrics and forecasts
Strengthen relationships with FP&A team members, including clarity around their goals
Identify opportunities to improve the capabilities of the team in service of the business
WITHIN SIX MONTHS, YOU'LL
In addition to the above, become seen as one of the high-performing teams in the Vista Portfolio
WIth your team, have your "finger on the pulse" of what is happening across the company and the impact on the financials
Using metrics and data, support senior leaders in their execution of company strategy.
Be a key voice in the company's data strategy
